I really really ship both Time Canary and White Atom so much. And also, I ship Brandon and Caity (Braity) in real life. Is this even legal? 😂😭😍💞

summary: While the legends are away Ray and Laurel play.
a/n: when i say i’m not posting until Sunday that obviously meant i was going to get impatient and post early // prompt by @astarinsomebodyelsessky happy holidays Chris!
p.s - this is set in an au where laurel lived and joined sara and the rest of the legends, okay? ok.
Ray nearly tripped over himself as he stumbled into his bedroom. Laurel had been teasing him mercilessly all day, sly looks, under the table grabs, and even dirty text messages. He couldn’t do anything about it until the rest of the team had gone out. It was a rare day when the legends, as they called themselves, had a day off. Everyone else had finally left to go get food or just enjoy whatever year they were in at the moment. He was so focused on Laurel that he didn’t even know.
“You’re mean,” he said as the door closed, “and a tease.”
Laurel giggled, “Thank you.”
He rolled his eyes.
Ray/Laurel + Being dared to walk through a graveyard at night
a/n: okay so this is my first attempt at writing canary atom and ray palmer sooo i hope it’s okay
“We’re grown adults.”
“So you keep saying.”
“So, why are we doing this?” Ray practically whined.
“Because,” Laurel mimicked his tone, “It’s fun.”
He sighed heavily. How had it even come to this? One moment he’s at a party with his friends, a group of adults, and the next they’ve almost all had too much to drink and they’re playing truth or dare like a bunch of teenagers. Okay, so he hadn’t minded until he was dared to walk with Laurel through a cemetery. He was having fun, spending time with team arrow as well as team flash and his own team. Did they have a name? Team Legends?
He was so stuck on the thought that he didn’t realize Laurel had stopped. His front came into contact with her back, causing her to nearly topple over.
“Hey! I thought you only had two drinks,” she muttered in annoyance.
“I did! I’m not drunk… just uh spacey,” he pouted.
She rolled her eyes at him. “We’re here,” she pointed towards the graveyard.
Ray swallowed thickly. He couldn’t even blame the booze for the anxiety that was bubbling up in his stomach. Oh, he wanted to, but as Laurel had pointed out he had only had two beers. He was really not inebriated enough for this. It wasn’t that graveyards were scary or anything. Alright, alright, he totally thought cemeteries were creepy. It didn’t help that the last time he was in one was for a funeral. Nothing good came out of cemeteries.
“C’mon,” Laurel, who seemed fearless as ever, nodded towards the entrance.
Instinctively he grabbed for her hand.
She paused again, looking down at their hand clasped together. “Really?”
“Yes,” he mumbled.
“You should have had some hard liquor,” she said.
“I don’t really drink, so,” he said.
“Me neither,” she replied without hesitation.
“Oh… I’m sorry Laurel,” he spoke quickly, “I forgot. I mean I didn’t forget, I just didn’t think of it.”
“Hey,” she raised her free hand, “First of all, It wasn’t your party. Second of all, you’re allowed to drink around me. It’s okay. I was just happy to be there with everyone.”
Ray visibly relaxed. “You’re really strong, you know that?”
She looked down for a moment, “Thanks.”
He squeezed her hand. “Let’s get this over with.”
“Alright,” she led him through the entrance.
He took a deep breath and repeatedly told himself that everything was going to be fine. They were both grown ups and could totally handle this. He might not have his suit on hand, but at least Laurel could kick zombie or ghostly ass.
