Not many, to be honest. I do have some, but I’m not seriously “nurturing” them. To see some of them, you can check my queue.

The monster resembled something akin to a giant, mutant rhinoceros beetle, about the same size as a large dog; its beady four eyes were red, small chartreuse welts bubbling green blood across its hideous face. It shrieked, shaking off the daze and shards of so-called “maximum force resistance” glass; Saori scrambled back on the floor, the monster immediately taking notice. It spread its vinyl, nearly translucent wings, released another ear-piercing screech at the human, and pounced.

I like how I described the monster; I love writing monsters!

"It’s a Glamour," Octenol explained. "Nifty, useful little device we use at the RPD. Once it’s on, you hit the big red button, real simple; a hologram will project around you in a disguise, if you will; typical police mech-suit. It’ll hide your identity, keep the press from seeing your real face." The elevator dinged, stopped. "So they’re essentially only taking…" He slowly looked from the parting doors to Saori, playful purple spikes climbing up along his mask. "… Glamour Shots."

Saori blinked. Octenol kept staring. There was no reaction. The officer reached over and hit the ‘close doors’ button before a woman could get inside. He turned away as the elevator ride continued in silence, save the humming of soft jazz from the intercom.

"… Wait, I get it." Saori replied. "Yeah, I… don’t know how to react to that."

"At least you got it."

Which fic has been the hardest to write?

Not sure. Some fics have given me rough patches and whatnot, but in general I do okay. Some commissioned fics can be a little difficult, but I don’t count those.

Which fic has been the easiest to write?

I’ve written so many fics, I honestly couldn’t tell you.

Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?

Writing is not only my passion, it’s my calling in life.

Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?

Episode? You mean, like, TV show for fics? In that case, uh…

What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?

Writing 2k words a day, from Stephen King. Kind of. I generally avoid writing advice unless it’s imperative i.e. how to write proper fight scenes, etc. I don’t like people telling me how to write my shit.

What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?

Anyone that claims writer’s block is nonexistent and you’re not a ~real writer~ if you can’t pump something out everyday or when you’re miserable.

If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

HOW ABOUT SOMETHING ORIGINAL HMM but in all honesty I would kill to have my Ambulon headcanon fanfic made into a miniseries.

Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Start to finish. Sometimes I save scenes for later, when they’re difficult and I need to concentrate on them, but I still wanna write in linear fashion.

Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?

Nope.

Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse?

I have around nine or so. I don’t take them seriously; more so just playing around. They each serve a purpose, and I’ve had them since I was around 15 or so. Bob (plot), Kitsune and Karasuma (smut), Onryo (horror), 730/Leo (angst), Adonis (flow of writing), Ambrosia (inspiration; rations inspiration), Syelune (writer’s block), and Kurobara (art muse). I’ve had them since I was a teenager, so yeah, idgaf if they sound silly or weeb. :V

If you want a character muse, Ambulon is pretty inspirational.

Describe your perfect writing conditions.

In a super comfy tank top, feeling at ease and motivated as I do when med-stoned but I’m not med-stoned, perfect inspirational music, nice cool temperature, and cake.

How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

Once, sometimes twice. Hence why there’s usually errors left behind. I hate proof-reading; sometimes I have a friend beta, but usually I just do it myself to get it done faster.

2005, anime!Fruits Basket fanfic:

"You’re quite the masochist, you are," Akito smiled softly, raising a hand and outstretching a single finger. The bird perched on his finger, then went about cleaning beneath its wings. "Have you no Albatross to lead you to a more warmer home? No plumed oscine to lead you to paradise?" he asked, quizzically, interested. The bird merely chirped. Akito’s grin lowered just slightly. "I hate people like you. Who play the rebel, disobey your leader, and end up sacrificing your worthless life to something beautiful but deadly, such as the snow," he informed, tilting his finger up and down. The bird, caught by surprise, flapped and chirped as it nearly lost balance, little claws gently digging into the pale skin to hold on.

2015:

"You’re quite the masochist, aren’t you?" Akito smirked, offering a hand. The bird took perch on a finger, went about cleaning its wings.

"Have you no Albatross to guide you? No plumed oscine to lead you to paradise; to take you home?" he asked playfully. Akito’s smile dimmed. "I hate people—creatures—like you. Akito flicked his finger abruptly; the bird chirped, surprised, frantically flapping its wings. It did not fly away, however, gently digging its talons into the pale skin for leverage.

If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?

Oh, Lord; I can’t think of one off the top of my head, tbh.

Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?

Numerous fics, yes.

What do you look for in a beta?

Sufficient, helpful, attentive, quick.

Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?

Yes. Sufficient, fairly attentive, and quick lol.

How do you feel about collaborations?

I like them; haven’t done one in a while, but I enjoy doing them!

If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

Uh, does James Roberts’s MTMTE stuff count…? ‘Cause, uh. /cough/ I got this past!Ambulon idea…

Do you accept prompts?

Most of the time, yes.

Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?

I do take liberties, of course; it’s fanfic. Especially when you’re writing non-canon pairings or headcanon-y stuff. But in general, I like to stick as close to canon and IC as possible.

How do you feel about smut?

SUCH FILTH I’D NEVER

How do you feel about crack?

Fun and relaxing sometimes.

What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?

I don’t care for noncon, nor do I write it (anymore); it kind of makes me uncomfortable, so I don’t really go into it. Dubcon I’m more open to, and willing to write.

Would you ever kill off a canon character?

Did it before, would/will do it again.

Oh, man, um… I’ve gotten so many lovely reviews, so I’m just going random here.

Each time I read this, it makes me cry. Of course the scene in DOTM that causes all this hurts every time too, but if it was even possible, your writing manages to make it even more raw. Powerful writing that can affect one so deeply is definitely something to be proud of! Congrats! (and I feel you will go quite far as a published writer if you go that route)
