Hi! For the spring event, can I have prompt 2 with Candace?
“You’re sick.” - “No, I’m not, just deeply infatuated with you… that and I’m sick.”
characters: Candace x gn!reader
warnings: none
a/n: I'm keeping this short or I might just start simping a little bit too much for Candace, but damn. Candace is great
Hope what I wrote matches what you wanted, but if you don't like it, feel free to tell me and I'll rewrite it once I have the time/motivation to.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Candace
While many outsiders tended to forget that the heat of the desert didn’t exactly shield them from getting sick, the fact that it got cold at night slipped the mind of most people not spending a lot of time in it, with how long you had called the desert your home, you ought to have known better.
There were worse ways to get woken up, especially living in such a-... rather unfriendly environment, but when the first thing you felt upon awakening was your head hurting as someone was in the process of splitting it open, you couldn’t help but silently curse whatever dark entity decided to bless you with this headache, only to forget everything you were doing when you realized your jolts had awakened the person lying next to you.
“Good morning, I hope you had a good night’s rest”, Candace greeted you in her usual way, stretching and letting out a small yawn shortly before turning to face you, only for a slightly concerned look to find its way onto her face.
“Good mor-”, you tried to respond in kind, only to be forced to turn your head by a coughing fit, slightly wincing once you felt her hand touch your forehead, just now realizing how hot it was.
“You’re sick”, was all she stated.
“No, I’m not, just deeply infatuated with you”, you joked in response, only for Candace’s look to make you remember how serious she could get, causing you to eventually buckle under her stare. “...That and I’m sick”, you added, letting your head hang slightly as you no longer found the strength to look her in the eyes.
“Thought so, getting red over nothing doesn’t sound like you”, she joked before getting out of bed and pushing you back down into a lying position.
“Now please get some rest and let me take care of you.”
I'd like to request candace cuddling reader. PLEASE

Characters: Candace x gn!reader
Warnings: none, just fluff
a/n: While I know that my dude didn’t mean it literally, he already put that thought into my head, so thanks for giving me a reason to write this.
That being said, I have to give my usual warning: this is one of the first times I wrote for Candace, so if I got something about her wrong, I’m very sorry.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Candace
There weren’t that many times Candace could consider relaxing without being tortured by the thought that something, somewhere, somehow could happen when she could have been able to help if she hadn’t dropped her guard. Evil never slept, so why should Aaru Village’s guardian?
That being said, danger wasn’t always on doorstep, and constantly having one’s guard up sure was exhausting, so whenever she was able to make sure beyond a reasonable doubt that there was no catastrophe or atrocity waiting to happen, Candace would allow herself to relax for a while, and when such an occasion arose, there was one way she liked spending it more than any other.
It wasn’t every day that Candace accepted the idea of relaxing together, but whenever she did, you’d often find yourself with her arms wrapped around your head as she pressed you against her body and rested her own head on yours. You still remembered the first few times this happened and how embarrassed you were by it, only to quickly learn to shut up, accept that there would be no chance in even a million years that Candace would be anything other than the big spoon, and start to enjoy it. Luckily for you, that last part was much easier than you imagined it to be.
“Are you able to rest well?”, your thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Candace’s voice, only for you to slightly pull your head away and look her in the eyes before nodding.
“It would be difficult for me not to. But I’m much more interested in if it’s the same for you, this is about helping you relax a bit after all”, you countered, causing the Village’s guardian to respond with a hum, the knowledge that she was able to relax instantly putting you to ease, making you return to your thoughts.
Or at least it would have, if you hadn’t spotted what looked like a merchant making their way into the village through the window, instinctively mentioning it to Candace, who didn’t waste a second to make herself ready to greet them, most likely going to keep an eye on them for the entirety of their stay.
“I’m sorry, but it seems like I’m needed. Please, feel free to continue resting and I’ll be back as soon as I can”, she apologised before making her way outside, leaving you to silently curse yourself for drawing her attention to them for a few seconds before letting out a sigh and stretching a bit, preparing to continue some work of your own, since it would most likely be quite a while until another chance at resting together presented itself.
