Them reacting to you telling them that you love them in public
character: Dehya / Mona / Collei x gn!reader (separate)
warnings: none, just fluff
a/n: Since I didn’t write *that* much for Dehya and Collei yet there’s a chance I got some things about their characters wrong, so if that happened I’m sorry
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Dehya
Dehya was barely a person to get flustered by you telling her that you loved her anymore, having gotten used to it rather quickly. Or so it was in private at least, in public she’d still freeze from time to time, having someone act all lovingly with her not exactly matching her public persona as a mercenary.
“Love you too. Before I forget, I have to show you the new clothes I just bought later, it’s really pretty and made from materials that are just great-”, she quickly started rambling, cutting herself off when she remembered that the two of you weren’t in the comfort of your home but outside instead, letting out an awkward laugh.
“Hahaha, let’s hurry a bit, just standing around is going to kill me from boredom”, Dehya was quick to change the subject, you picking up on her behavior and quickly agreeing to play along, both of you quickly hurrying off to the nearest store to continue your window-shopping.
Mona
While the two of you may have been a couple, Mona was far from someone to act all lovey-dovey in public, preferring to fall back on your professional relationship as astrologer and assistant. Or that’s how she would have liked it to be, something that might have worked if you didn’t choose to completely ignore her plan, acting the same as usual around her.
“Yeah sure, love you!”, you said your goodbye for the moment, planning on following Mona’s order and going on a quick errand for her, only to halt when you were targeted by one of her glares, responding with a confused look.
“Is something wrong Mona?”, followed your question, only for her glare to disappear as she opened her mouth to respond.
“How often do I have to tell you not to-”, she was in the process of reprimanding you, stopping in the middle of it as she couldn’t bring herself to continue, your innocently questioning look causing her to choke on her words.
“I-”, she declared in a voice much louder than she planned on, causing her face to flush as she quickly lowered her voice, “...love you too.”
“Now go, quick or you might not get to the shop before it closes!”, Mona went back to her usual self almost instantly, ordering you around in her usual proud voice once again.
Collei
It wouldn’t be a lie to say that Collei wasn’t exactly confident in herself, already having a hard time getting used to the fact that you willingly chose to go out with someone like her, usually getting flustered whenever you reminded her of your feelings for her, something that you were always happy to do, unfortunately for the green haired vision holder’s heart.
“Wait- Are you talking to me?”, Collei asked immediately after hearing you say those words she ought to have grown used to at this point, quickly feeling the urge to facepalm when she remembered that she was the only person that you could be saying those words to, everyone around you being complete strangers.
“Of course you are, who else could you be talking to?”, she hastily corrected herself, quickly once again falling into the seemingly endless spiral of correcting herself in a panic, not wanting to be misunderstood, only stopping when she heard you letting out a chuckle.
“I- I’m sorry, I’m still not used to you saying it… especially in public”, she eventually admitted, keeping her head low in an attempt to hide her blush, only for you to let out a dismissive sound.
“I should think twice before telling you that I lo- telling you *those* words, so don’t stress it, it’s my fault”, you assured her, only to continue, cutting her off before she even had the chance to say something, “Plus, I think it’s cute, so don’t even think of saying you are a burden.”
“o- okay”, Collei managed to respond while trying her best to regain her composure, fortunately managing to do so after taking a few breaths and returning to her usual act.
“Anyway, I’ve heard one of the merchants making a stop in gandharva ville has a new volume of one of my favorite series, let’s go and check them out”, she changed the subject, and while you quickly moved on from your conversation, Collei wouldn’t stop thinking about what you said until the end of the day.
a/n: Dehya Drip Marketing got me acting unwise. So I decided to write something for her even though I slept 3 hours today and haven't written anything in a while, so I'm really sorry if there are any mistakes.
Also, this is one of my first times writing for Dehya, so if I got something about her wrong, I'm sorry
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Hu Tao
Like it or not, as long as your fall wasn’t lethal Hu Tao wouldn’t be able to hold in at least a giggle or two, or even break out in full out laughter. She would of course help you, you were after all one of the few people around she really wouldn’t want to have as a customer any time soon, but that would probably have to wait a bit, no matter how much you pouted.
“Like I said, Qingxin Slime Condensate isn’t *that* bad-”, you barely managed to finish your sentence before being met with the unpleasant feeling of nearly face planting into the ground, barely managing to put the hands you so fervently used to gesture just a second before in front of you. And while you escaped without too much physical harm, your dignity took a massive hit the moment you let out a way too high pitched yelp.
It took the funeral director a couple of seconds to process what had just happened, but once she did, she wasted no time at all before bursting out in laughter, trying her best to calm herself down as she put her hands onto her stomach and mockingly imitated your yelp.
“Oh my sides- you should have heard yourself! It sounded so-”, she didn’t even bother to finish her sentence, too busy with trying to take a few deep breaths and wiping away her tears before once again looking down at you, nearly falling into another laughing fit once she saw you pout.
Finally she snatched your arm and started helping you up, but not without a big smile on her face of course.
Dehya
While working as a mercenary had a fair share of up- and downsides, the moment Dehya caught you before you yourself had realized that you had tripped, you couldn’t help but be thankful for the reflexes she appropriated during her working hours, even if, as you would no doubt soon notice, it had placed you in a slightly awkward position.
“That was close. Pay more attention or you might not get as lucky next time”, she slightly lectured you while still holding you in between her arms, not thinking anything to be wrong with it until she noticed your silence, causing her to finally look back down to you, only to be greeted with the sight of you staring at her in awe.
“What are you looking at me like that for?”, Dehya asked, feeling herself grow slightly embarrassed by it, causing her tone to come out more defensive than intended.
“Oh- er- nothing. I just found your reflexes really cool”, you were quick to try and play your blush off, not really sure what you were saying as you managed to take a step back, finally letting you take a deep breath instead of getting flustered by the sudden, although anything but planned, hug.
“Anyway, it’s getting late, let’s call it a day”, you continued your thoughtless rambling, even though a single glance at the sky made it pretty clear that it was nowhere to getting late. Something you would have certainly noticed if your brain were working right, instead you showed her a quick smile before going on your merry way, immediately stumbling again the moment your eyes left the ground.
HI in response to your latest post; could i request dehya and collei reacting to you getting hurt? ty!! if not, feel free to ignore! have a lovely day!!
Them reacting to you getting hurt
Characters: Dehya / Collei x gn!reader (separate)
Warnings: none, just fluff
a/n: This is my first time writing for Dehya and since we don’t have that much information about her yet, I had to work with what we were given in the Archon quest so far, so if there’s something about her character I write, that turns out to be false, then I’m sorry
This is a bit shorter than my usual posts, so I hope you’re fine with that.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Dehya
While you didn’t pay her to be your bodyguard, seeing you get hurt still wasn’t something Dehya enjoyed in the slightest. After all, who’d hire a mercenary, that failed to keep their close one’s safe, to be their bodyguard. That being said, her reputation as a mercenary wasn’t the only reason for her to worry.
While you had promised Dehya to meet her near the tavern around lunch, your departure from home had to be postponed by a bit when you managed to stupidly injure yourself while cutting something, only to immediately head out once you were done treating your wound and cleaned up after yourself.
“There you are. We mercenaries tend to get paid for our time, so it would be nice if you didn’t keep me waiting-”, Dehya greeted you in a slightly annoyed tone, only for her face to change into that of worry when she saw the bandages around your hand. “What happened to your hand?”, she asked in a softer voice this time before grabbing your arm and inspecting it on her own.
“I accidentally cut myself. Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious”, your explanation immediately caused her to visibly relax before letting go of your hand.
“That’s good to hear. But be careful next time, the last thing I need is for people to talk about how I let you die of something as stupid as a kitchen knife”, Dehya responded with a small smile, only for the two of you two start walking towards the tavern where you had planned to arrive half an hour earlier.
And while you quickly forgot about this specific incident, going back to cutting things with not a worry in the world, whenever Dehya was present, you’d feel her eyes bore into your fingers while readying herself for the worst.
“Is something wrong? You’ve been staring at the knife and my hands for quite some time now”, you asked once you noticed, causing her to answer your question without even looking up for a second.
“Nothing. Just staring.”
Collei
Whenever you’d get hurt in front of Collei, it wouldn’t be long before she was by your side, either trying to treat your wound or distracting and cheering you up until it either stopped hurting as much or someone else arrived to help. And even if she’d be panicking behind her façade, you’d be the last to notice.
When you had told Collei you’d be climbing up a tree to get a better view of any possible withering zones, she didn’t question your plan too much, seeing as it made sense, only for her to suddenly wish she did, when she heard a branch break, followed by a small yelp from you and the sound of you falling to the ground. Within the blink of an eye, she was by your side, inspecting your body for any serious injuries.
“Are you hurt? Do you need me to get help?”, Collei started questioning you, only to be surprised when she saw a small smile flash up on your face.
“I should be fine, I can feel my toes, so it shouldn’t be that serious”, you assured her, causing her to let out a silent sigh. “That being said, the amount of pain my toes are in is hard to describe”, you continued, your smile having been replaced with a face more fitting to someone in pain.
“Okay, let’s try to get you back to the camp. I’m sure Master will have something against the pain”, Collei suggested while trying her best to hide her actual thoughts, only for you to nod before the two of you embarked on your way back.
How they act when they have a crush on you / how they confess
Characters: Dehya/Ei x gn!reader (separate)
Warnings: none
a/n: Really, REALLY wanted to write something for Dehya since I just finished most of the new Archon quest (There are no spoilers in this fic, don't worry), so I thought about writing another part of the first scenario I could think of.
I also decided to add Ei, since I thought it might be interesting to write this with her, so yeah.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Dehya
Dehya was no newcomer when it came to how to hide certain secrets or putting on a façade to conceal once interests, she had to do so most of the time when it came to her… less imposing hobbies and interests. All of which was to say that there was no chance for you to find out about her feelings if she didn’t want to.
…well, that’s what’s the case most of the time, but while those masks of her did a good job at hiding whatever they were supposed to hide, one tease in the right direction was enough to make them almost collapse in on themselves. Simply remembering how bad she was at hiding the fact that she was ticklish once you as much as threatened to try it out yourself was a good enough reminder to herself. So, to spare herself the embarrassment of a screwed cover up, she decided on a simple course of action if you were to come close to that secret of hers: come clean.
While you neither were a mercenary yourself, nor actively had to fight in your day to day live, you still enjoyed training your sword fighting skills with Dehya from time to time. It was a nice way to bond while also technically counting as training for the mercenary, even if she didn’t have to put that much effort into beating you most of the time. But what you lacked in skill, you tried making up by other means.
“How about we go and eat something for dinner later?”, you asked while trying your best to either block or dodge Dehya’s attacks, both feeling a lot of surprise and some sort of self-satisfaction after actually managing to not get hit for a couple of her swings, only to let your sword go when you felt her blade connecting to your ring-finger, thanking the gods for making you not dumb enough to refuse her offers of using wooden swords while also trying your best not to scream in agony.
“Sounds like a good idea”, the aforementioned mercenary answered with a small smile, causing you to shoot her a small glare.
“Don’t act innocent and as if you weren’t aiming for my hands all this time”, you half-jokingly demanded, only for Dehya to playfully roll her eyes, lips still curved up.
“That’s what we professionals call a ‘tactic’”, she answered, making you realise that you weren’t going to get far by acting annoyed with her, instead proceeding to wrap your finger in your other hand while putting on a dramatic show.
“How cruel of you Dehya. Where am I going to put my future wedding ring if I lose my precious ring-finger while training with you?”, you cried out, catching the mercenary off guard for a second, only for her to quickly signal to your other hand. “No need to put on such act, we both know well enough that you wish for nothing more than to be the one to share matching rings with me. You can show your distraught and guilt. I’m not going to judge you”, you continued teasing her, only to be too indulged in your performance to notice the blush on her face.
While Dehya wasn’t stupid enough to believe that you were on to her, she would be lying to say that it hadn’t caught her off guard as much as it did, probably enough for you to score a hit on her if you still had your sword in hand and planned to use the opportunity.
“I can’t exactly say that that’s on my to-do list at the moment”, she responded once she collected herself enough to form a coherent sentence, the semi-long pause leading up to her response seemingly not bothering you a bit.
“’at the moment’? So, you say that it’s something you might put on your to-do list later? Oh my- I would have never expected for the legendary flame mane to have fallen for me”, you struck another pose while wearing the same big smile you always did whenever you enjoyed yourself way more than you should, only to fall immediately silent when you noticed how red her face had become, causing you to return to a normal way of standing. “Sorry if I struck a ner-”
“And what if I do?”, Dehya decided to interrupt you. Her brazenness causing the tables to turn as you were the one to be silent now, silently staring at her while blinking a couple of times, your face turning red enough to be confused with a giant tomato, the weird imagery somehow helping her to somewhat handle her nervousness.
“Are you serious-”, you wanted to ask, only to shut up when she nodded before you even finished, causing your pause to continue for what felt like an eternity. “…o-Okay. W-Well, about the dinner”, you continued, only to gather your thoughts for a couple more seconds, “We can make it something like our first date. I-If you’re fine with it, I mean”, you finally managed to finish your sentence, silently cringing at how bad of a job you did at stringing a response together.
“Sure”, Dehya in comparison was quick to respond, putting the wooden sword away before signalling you to follow her, letting out a sigh of relief when she was sure you weren’t looking.
Ei
Ei was far from the most proficient person when it came to understanding romantic emotions, there never really having been a person she would consider herself to be infatuated with. Back when her sister ruled Inazuma, most of its citizens didn’t even know the two of them weren’t the same person and after she had passed… there weren’t that many opportunities for her to find one.
So, when she turned her back to her Plane of Euthymia, choosing to work on becoming the ruler her sister had wanted her to be, a lot of surprised awaited her. Not only had the city and many of its customs changed in the few hundred years the electro Archon had locked herself in a prison of her own making, but once she met you, she was introduced to a lot of emotions she had never felt before.
While it wasn’t difficult for Ei to remember a time your visits weren’t a frequent thing, she thoroughly enjoyed every single of them. You seemed to have a never-ending supply of stories and anecdotes about daily life in Inazuma, and while that didn’t seem like anything too important to most, every insight into the Inazuma of today was quite literally worth more than gold to her. It also helped that they most of them were entertaining and uplifting, and even if you told one that most would consider boring, your Archon would listen attentively, being contend with watching you talk enthusiastically.
There was also that weird feeling in her stomach she felt whenever she was near you, and while she was self-reflective enough to consult someone about them before making up her own theories, Ei made the objectively bad decision to ask the person she considered her closest friend, only for the kitsune in question to have a field trip with that knowledge. The electro archon had up until that point never was embarrassed by that feeling and wouldn’t be so afterwards, but Yae had the “gift” of managing to fluster people even with what they saw as their greatest triumphs against them, so it was no surprise that it ended the way it did.
“My Archon, I’m sorry to interrupt, but someone from the Yashiro Commission requests a word with you”, one of the Shogun’s many servants interrupted your conversation by knocking on her chamber’s door and opening the door.
“Tell them I’m occupied at the moment, I’ll meet them once I’m done”, Ei was quick to respond, causing the servant to nod and close the door behind them, only for you to glance at her with a worried look.
“Are you sure it’s okay for you to prioritise me to the Yashiro Commission? It sounded like there was something important to be discussed, my Ar- Ei”, you corrected yourself immediately, remembering how she had requested for you to call her, even it the thought of calling your own Deity by her name was still a weird one to you.
“I don’t see a problem with it. Learning to understand the daily lives of one’s subjects is about as important as it can get for a ruler, or that’s what a certain someone once told me”, she countered your point, referring to one of your first conversations, one in which you felt even more nervous than you always did when speaking to the God of Thunder, but quite possibly also the one that made it possible for you to talk to her as often as you now did.
“I admire your dedication, but the people from the Yashiro Commission are really important-”, you barely managed to blurt out your sentence before Ei already interrupted you.
“There’s no human I consider more important than you, so I’m sure they will be fine waiting for a bit longer”, she bluntly stated her feelings, not caring about what you or anyone else might think about her comment, causing you to fall silent for a few seconds before you finally managed to piece just enough words together to form a sentence.
“If that’s the case, I’m going to continue then”, you looked down to hide your blush, only for your Archon to hum in response.
“Very well, please tell me more about you.” AND Inazuma, you assumed Ei forgot to add, deciding to not attempt to correct her in fear she’d somehow notice how fast your heart was beating. Before trying your best to remember where you left off, continuing your story with nothing but a few stutters here and there.
If you haven't made this already for the part 2 request can you do
"Them with a reader that doesn't talk much but suddenly starts rambling about how much they love them"
Dehya with a reader that doesn't talk much but suddenly starts rambling about how much they love her
Characters: Dehya x gn!reader
Warnings: none, just fluff
a/n: In the biggest big brain move my big brain ever-… moved? I decided to use my current simping for Dehya to write this request. I’m sorry this took some time; I just didn’t know which character/s to write this with until now. I originally planned to also write Nilou and Collei, but I honestly don’t feel motivated enough right now.
If you don’t want to read about Sumeru characters or characters that didn’t release yet, then… whoops
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Dehya
Most of the time, it felt like you knew two different Dehyas: Dehya the mercenary, who over years of working and sometimes negotiating with other hired swords, learned how to act tough, and Dehya your girlfriend, who’d ask you for your opinion regarding different perfumes from time to time or liked to leave you small presents on spots in your home, that she knew you’d pass eventually, only to blush and brush it off when you thanked her for them.
That being said, her reaction to you suddenly rambling about how much you loved her would be similar no matter if in public or private, although she wouldn’t press her hand over your mouth while whispering to you in a panic to please wait until later to continue only to embarrassedly glance around to see if anyone noticed in the latter.
“Thanks a lot for the present you left behind today. I really liked you”, you briefly spoke up while the two of you were just about to start eating dinner. When you had come home from a bad day, you hadn’t thought it would be possible for your mood to get much better that day, but when you found a small box, only to realise that it was something you had mentioned liking in a conversation the two of you had some time ago, you were proven wrong.
“It’s nothing special, I just saw it in the window of a shop while passing it and thought it might be nice to buy one”, Dehya once again downplayed her present before looking down at her food, hoping her small blush wasn’t too obvious. But while you’d normally leave it be, you suddenly got overwhelmed by the urge to thank her for all the little things she did for you. And so you did, starting to ramble on and on about how thankful you were to have her and how much you loved her, talking for so long, that your throat felt dry after finally finishing.
While Dehya didn't know at first, where you were going with your speech, her face started heating up once she realised and by the time you had finished, there seemed to be more blood in her head than in the rest of her body combine, causing her to stop you before she could evaporate from embarrassment.
“I-I’m also happy to have you at my side, but… please calm down, I don’t think I can handle this much”, she eventually managed to form a sentence, obscuring her face with one hand while signalling you to stop with the other, causing your face to get red as well, as you realised what you had done, leaving the two of you to silently agree to focus on the food.
