Feminist Charities to Give to this Christmas
I've been seeing a couple of posts going around with charities based in the UK and the USA about feminist charities to give to this holiday season so I decided to do one for charities based in Canada.

Help a Girl Out
From their website they say:
"Help A Girl Out is a Canadian based not-for-profit organization that aims to reduce period poverty, eliminate the shame attached to menstruation, build self-esteem and reinforce gender equality.
We create and distribute care packages with feminine hygiene and sanitary products to underprivileged females in Ontario and in developing countries around the world. We host events and workshops that aim to educate and empower individuals in society."
Also, donate to your local women's shelter. Most cities will have one and if you can't afford to donate money, see if they need volunteers. Here is a map of shelters throughout Canada.
If you can't donate money, donate your time. Volunteer at a local shelter or soup kitchen. Organize a period supply drive. Become a Girl Guide leader or Big Sister. Go spend time with an elderly lady at a nursing home. Ask a single mother or elderly woman in your community if she needs help around the house/yard. Shop at woman owned businesses and support the women in your life! Feel free to reblog with any other suggestions or organizations to donate to.
2 more before I get a bingo lol
