         his new world is a place of familiarities that feel incredibly foreign; a paradoxical feeling that has newt scanning menu items twice over─ sometimes thrice for good measure─ just to make sure he’d read it right. ANY other venue would have made for a wiser choice; this café has him embarrassingly dumbfounded. then again, the concept of going to a store and buying things feels surreal in itself. has he ever been to a proper store? does he even have money? newt searches his memories but draws blanks─ frustrating, but not surprising. 

❝ blood orange lemonade? ❞ he reads the name out loud, brows pinching together as a reflection of his confusion. lemonade─ that’s familiar. but what’s all this other nonsense? ❝ a shuck fresca? sounds like a load of klunk to me─ ❞ he’s muttering to himself, rubbing the back of his neck  ─

the approaching presence snaps him out his daze. too close. newt instinctively sidesteps, hues snapping upwards towards the person. a few moments are all he needs to relax his stance; just another citizen, he concludes. no reason to fret ─ right? other than the fact that he’s been glued to his place before the menu for who knows how long.

❝ sorry ‘bout that. ❞ he smiles meekly, ❝ i’m not too familiar with places like.. this. i haven’t been in your way, have i? ❞

Surprise colors his face, before he lets out a sharp bark of laughter, and it looks like he’s fighting to keep a genuine smile off his face. His eyes tell the truth, however, as they always did -- amusement and appreciation layered deep. Juliet? If the appreciation didn’t make it obvious, you’ve just gained respect skill points in Minho’s eyes. 

The cocking of the gun sounds final, a modern and rudimentary bell toll of death; counting down the seconds that the man in front of them had to live -- not so long now, Minho’s expression seems to say. It’s not as if he particularly enjoys hurting people, but when he came across someone who knew how to get things done--

“And that, sister, is smartest thing I’ve heard all week.”

BANG. There goes the bullet, lodging itself in the man’s shoulder, and Minho aims the next bullet at the man’s head amidst the screams. His gaze turns to look at the man in almost bored distaste.

“Listen. You can cooperate with us, or you can die a miserable death. What’s the password to the safe?”

Dull eyes widened slightly, as footsteps started to come near. Usagi knew was that she was stranded in the middle of nowhere, and hadn’t been able to find another individual who looked friendly enough to approach. She took this as a sign of mere luck. Maybe she was able to get a good, honest opinion from someone after all. 

She turned around, and looked up at the tall, woman approaching. The first thing she noticed about her were the massive pigtails sat upon her head. They reminded her of her own hairdo, somewhat. Her stare started to blur into a daze, while her stomach starting to grumble lightly.

How embarrassing.

" H-Hello there! I was wondering if you know anything about this restaurant, Hemlock? I’ve been debating on whether or not I should try it out... but it looks so fancy, ya know?! I feel like I might stand out a bit, ehe. Do you recommend this place though? "

Thinking with her stomach was something Usagi did often, unfortunately. She hoped that this person was able to guide her to a food shop nearby, or else there was going to be some trouble.

Out of the summoning circle came out a grayish blue skin tone demon, with the towering height of 7 feet tall, his horns where connected to his skin form his forehead, with added an extra foot to his height. His wings where black and bat like and they seem to surround the young girl who was right in front of him. His extra figure was a tail that was long and thin enough to wrap anything around it like a snake. And as the incubus smiled he looked at the girl and said. “Why would you summon a thing like me for? Look I am out of the job so I can’t give you what you want, but if it’s for protection then I got your back.”
