Throughout each month, I collect all my empty bath and body items and on the first of the month I pull them out, see what I used up, and recycle them. It helps me figure out what I use the most of and what I don’t use. It helps me talk myself out of buying things that I don’t need or won’t use. And it’s just fun to see the progress! These are my empties from October. A little anticlimactic this month due to travel and just being busy.
I loooooved the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, except...it was super shimmery, which I did not realize when I started using it. It turned out alright because my husband and I were vacationing in Turks and Caicos when I used it, but this is definitely not something I would use on a daily basis. I may try to figure out if they make any non-glittery lotions.
My two empties this month from Lush Cosmetics are some of my favorites from Lush. I worked at Lush for about a year and I don’t think it’s any secret to anyone who knows me that I love the company’s ethics and products.
Side notes: I am cracking up at the Listerine bottle, which is from the hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon in Bali. It’s got directions in the Balinese language. Also, these makeup wipes from Costco are so clutch. Like everything else there, they are cheap and come in bulk. They also sell cotton rounds that are WAY cheaper than I’ve found anywhere else.
Lastly, 2 brands that I cannot go without mentioning are Candy Panda Wax and The Dirty Goat. Both of these are small, woman-run businesses that I just adore, and I highly recommend you check them out if they are unfamiliar to you. They are both on Instagram, which I find is the best way to stay updated on restock dates & times as well as what products will be offered.
