The Prince and Princess of Wales speak Welsh!
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! 🏴🌼
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi is the national day of Cymru (Wales), so stipulated to commemorate Dewi Sant (Saint David), Nawdd Sant Cymru (patron saint of Wales). Yn Ngymru (in Wales) is a day to celebrate faith, culture and linguistic traditions of Wales.
Canellecitadelle Canellelabelle: "Before her historic video appearance alongside Prince William for St David’s day, there were no expectations set for the role of “princess of wales”, besides being the “wife to the Prince Of Wales”. The expectations were rather on the Prince of Wales to do his bit to build ties with the country by learning about the culture and the language. And William has been doing exactly that brilliantly. What we never expected, was to see Catherine as committed to her role as he is to the point of learning Welsh right alongside him In that, Catherine has redefined the Role of “Princess of Wales” as an equal team player who has lived in Wales alongside the Prince of Wales, who shows the same genuine appreciation for the welsh culture and who is even learning to speak the ancient language. And That my dears, is exactly how the Wales are quietly modernising the Monarchy from the inside out “Pushing the boundaries seamlessly” is something Catherine has always done in Life. In her path to Royal Life, you soon realise that Catherine is a very intelligent and disciplined overachiever. Whatever she sets her mind to do, she commits to it with a determined focus and always exceeds the standard to achieve excellence • In Marlborough, Catherine was not just “another Pupil”, she was one of their best academic student in the school, one of their best student athlete who was Captain of the hockey team with her team losing fewer than one in six matches during her final year; she set athletic record in the high jump, swimming and tennis; some of her athletic records even remained unbroken for 20 years; •Furthermore, Catherine did not just participate in the Duke of Edinburgh award but she completed the the full program, including the expeditions and achieved the highest level, the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, while she was in sixth form at Marlborough. • When she graduated St Andrews university, Catherine graduated with a 2:1 honorable degree in the Art History, making her the FIRST future Queen in British Royal history to hold a university degree • When it comes to marrying, Catherine married as high as you can for someone who is a ‘natural overachiever’; She married the Future King of the UK making her the Future Queen of the country. Now top that• Catherine’s streak for “Excellence” followed her in Royal life: She did not just overcome media scrutiny, public bullying and the snobbism directed her way to sucessfully integrate into the RF, but she conquered the monarchy and the British Public to become the very beloved and popular Face of the entire Monarchy and one of the most culturally relevant Woman of our time. This is who Catherine has always been: a perfectionist who always push the boundaries to achieve excellence. The magic with her is that she uses such tact and grace that one barely notices she is breaking traditions and creating new ones In that, Catherine is a “Quiet Storm”, a “spine of steel” hidden behind a kind smile and her gentle nature and that is why she is the “perfect match” for William. As the saying goes, “Only Iron can cut Iron”. William has an ambitious vision of change for the Monarchy. Therefore, when looking for a wife, William was not just looking for “another pretty Aristocrat who would bear him children and look fancy on his arm”; He was looking for an Equal partner who would help him in his vision for the future and Catherine is exactly thatThey share the same vision for their marriage, their family and their Monarchy and that is why they make such a striking and fascinating couple. William and Catherine are evenly matched, they display the singular intimacy that exists when a couple know each other and trust each other deeply and they compliment each other exquisitely. Thus, the Future of the Monarchy is solidly anchored on their shoulders"
