what do you think Canis thinks of Juliette, if he even knows she exists

(HELLOOO! HAIII!!)
Hello ^^
Canis does not know of Juliet. If he did, I doubt he’d be able to handle the concept of being a father. He can’t even handle the idea of his own dad.
The implication of his partner having an abandoned child—considering Canis’s past—would likely send him into a form of psychosis only seen in dogs with late stage rabies. He’d probably end up killing and cannibalizing Iceberg, ending his story before the actual start of my canon’s main plot.
I think it’ll take a lot of work for him to accept her, to say the least. Canis does end up with a son by the end of his road at the foundation, but this Canis, the scared child, isn’t near ready for that.
I should probably add this as a note, but this blog is only vaguely meant to serve as Scolopendra’s prequel. The plot is relatively similar but many of the people Canis encounters among his exploits aren’t really canon…. Canis and Iceberg’s interactions are entirely canon though.
Oh yeah idk if I’ve said this before but the cabin Canis lives in is actually Clef’s property. He offered it to him as a peace proposal but it didn’t really cool anything down between them. Clef is also an avid hunter in my canon, him having his own shitty lodge to do his swamp wizard bullshit in is in character
Some insight into Canis’s full name because I’ve made it before but not that well.
Canis’s first name is Isaiah, a reference to the biblical prophet Isaiah and his respective book. The book of Isaiah has always been a favorite of mine, as the god depicted shows his divine right, his divine authority to punish humanity for its misdeeds. It’s the fire and brimstone. And Isaiah was the man who told how the hammer would fall.
Canis can say so much about the horrors of anomalies, but he really can’t. It’s a punch in the face to be named after the greatest evangelist when you can’t even say his name.
John was the disciple present when Jesus was crucified. But for more than that, Canis’s middle name is John. It’s in reference to the second century Gnostic text called the Apocryphon of John, or the lost book of John. Read about it yourself. Wikipedia is great. I can’t explain gnostic mythology without a degree. But the writings in that book make a great impact on the events of Scolopendra, which the roleplay blog functions as a prequel to.
And finally, Wojciechowski is the weight he has to bear.
• Has extreme difficulty speaking due to an injury on his neck that was sustained during childhood. Whenever he does say something, it’s barely intelligible to most. So he just keeps to barking and making dog noises instead, even if they hurt to choke out. It’s an almost deserved pain for a pathetic man. He’s insecure about this.
• was religious once. Abandoned it because he thought it was a crutch people use but will revert back to praying to “God” whenever he’s extremely stressed.
• he’s trying to prove to himself that he isn’t weak. Less of weak-bodied but more weak-willed, I guess. He believes (but will never admit) that he’s weak for many reasons like not being good enough for his father to keep, not being what his mother wanted, never being able to take care of others without reverting to an almost primal violence, not being able to remember the majority of his childhood, so on so forth. He wants control. To be a MAN. To be able to handle dirt and blood.
• in some aspects he’s a vent character because I’ve always been a crybaby but that’s not that important. Just wanted to mention it though.
• he’s been violent for a long, long time. Ever since he was a kid. It’s instinct, learned behavior.
(cringe ass writing someone should just kill me at this point for larping as someone who knows what I’m doing)
Agent "Iceberg's music taste sucks" Canis listening to Beach Fagz by Car Seat Headrest:
(long connections and analysis under the cut. very important to read if you like Canis lore)
Lyrics to song as they're kind of hard to read in the og recording:
[Verse 1] / Woke up, had a boner / Dragged a comb across my boner / I said it’s high time for us to experience high tide / No thanks, I don’
Verse 1.
Self harm relating to sexuality and then a spongebob reference (representation of childhood). A reference to alcohol. Music notation reference. do I even need to say it. The next lines are studied in the chorus since they bridge to them.
Chorus 1.
Canis is one of the least authentic men you'll meet. He pretended to be chronically online to get close to Iceberg, and in his real life he pretends to be the classic stoic badass man. But that's not how his real self is, though? He's weak and sensitive and has the temperament of an abused animal. But he covers it up out of shame, yet still yearns for an outlet. THIS ACCOUNT IS CANIS'S OUTLET. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT HE CAN SHOW HIS TRUE EMOTIONS. HE DOES NOT TRULY ACT THIS WAY IN REAL LIFE.
Verse 2.
This connects to Canis's lack of guidance as a young man (trying to prove to the listener that he knows what he is doing), leading to his descent into senseless violence. The 17 years part also connects to his troubled adolescence as he had to act more mature to provide for his sister. And then there's the emo music reference. god that is so him. (the lines about height will be discussed in the outro)
Chorus 2.
same as chorus 1. But then Canis's desire for someone to join him is shown.
Bridge.
Canis is never satisfied.
Outro
I fear the outro perfectly encapsulates Canis's views on his relationship with Iceberg. Canis wishes for someone in his life, ANYONE, that will offer him the role of an older, more mature figure in his life, no matter how bad they are at providing this for him. He for once wants to be offered a sense of innocence and reliance as he was forced to grow up extremely quickly due to his parental abuse and fatherly role in his sister's life. In the lines in the second verse regarding height, Canis thought that Iceberg perfectly represented his views on adulthood, a miserable substance abusing man chained to his desk. The following part of the song then shows his utter shame of his own desire, his own need to be taken care of for once in his life, his need to be hurt to live, and of course his hatred of himself for being gay.
