Been staring at the computer screen for 20 minutes and the paragraphs keep blurring. Fought the feels last night and worked into the early morning crafting for the first time since #spiritweavers. Currently restocking my bases which will either be combined with other herbal extractions or reinfused with new material depending on their purpose. What went down?
~ fresh gelato & cookie glue buds + leaves (pictured) in MCT oil ~ acidic + decarbed royal highness infused honey ~ acidic + decarbed golden state banana infused coconut oil for capsules ~ full spectrum topical base: gelato roots, leaves, fresh flowers (both young/near harvest) + acidic + decarbed blackberry kush infusing into a blend of coconut/hemp seed/olive oils ~ acidic + decarbed golden state banana tincture
Everything but the coconut oil for capsules is going folk method bc long medicine is the best medicine (and tbh I don’t have the time/energy to rush the process). Coconut oil follows it own rules because it solidifies at room temperate (which makes moving plant material through it hard). There are lots of ways to make #cannacoconutoil and they all work pretty well. My personal method is a combo of like 10 other methods and involves heating, freezing and reheating which is pry OCD. Folk method is cool bc you pretty much just hide it in a cabinet and flip it once a day and all the cannabinoids and juicy plant particles pull out into the oil/alcohol/etc as the material floats through. Some of these will go for a month, some longer (cannabinoid extractions become better [more bioavailable] with age so if you don’t strain right away you’re still winning), and some (the honey) will probably get a full moon water bath to speed up the process because patience isn’t my virtue.
