I'm considering doing something like a Google+ hangout to talk to people slightly more personally about Legend of Moros, as well as being able to show exactly what I'm working on. Thoughts?

Here's a little story about how my mind works. I keeps copies of pretty much any information that I don't want to have to research or consider again. When I first had the idea for this game over two years ago, I was coming up with ideas for monsters and I made several folders with spreadsheets. The main reason I did it at the time was I was doing a lot of tabletop gaming and liked testing out new ideas, and I have a strange enjoyment of doing math in my spare time (not even joking). So I come up with concepts, attacks, stat growth rate, elemental affinities, special qualities, estimated impact on gold and experience values each individual trait would have; and each monster both at level 1, and at what level I expected to put them into the game.

Imagine how much this helps out now, when I'm trying to seriously make a game. because while some things are moot (certain elemental effects, status effects, Mp, gold values), there is a LOT of very useful things to cannibalize (no pun intended).

I want everyone to understand something here. If you don't preorder, I will find some way to finish making this game. However, the added stress of not having money for food, along with the lack of food, will force me to kill random strangers and feast upon them like a gory pinata. You aren't only helping a small business when you preorder - you're saving someone's life!

Running a bit late on getting that video together, but I'm taking care of a bunch of extraneous data so I won't have to think about it for a while. Should have it up by next week (hopefully)!

Just finished up with some weapon stuff I've been putting off. Tomorrow, I set to work on getting a song or two done. Around the end of the week, I hope to have a gameplay vid up. Here's to hoping!

Hello! My name is Damien. I’m 24 years old, and I have been working hard to realize a dream of mine. I have been interested in video games since I was young, and while it was something I wanted to do, I chose to pick more achievable goals. After taking a few college courses in pursuit of a degree in business and having worked for 5 years continuously, I realized it just wasn't a good fit. I tried looking for different work and that didn't work out so well, so I'm making my own kind of work.

I've been working on this current video game for some time now, and I had had some money saved up, but it's beginning to dwindle. So I'm turning to you for help. Right now I'm opening up preorders for Legend of Moros. It's an homage to old-school JRPG's, like Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy. If that's the sort of game that interests you, I highly recommend preordering now.
