CANNIBAL RICK!!!! Also known as Small Penis Rick. His nickname is Canns, because that’s what Repo calls him, and people assume that he might be a Cannabis Rick due to his socks, but oh boy are they mistaken.

Rick “B-173Y” Sanchez actually comes from a pretty standard version of events and universe, except his side of the family has cannibalistic urges, often referred to as The Urge or The Hunger.

In Canns’ version of events, his wife left him after finding out that Beth had The Urge, and being horrified that her husband was a cannibal, non-offending or not. The divorce caused Rick to become pretty apathetic about his urges, so he stopped trying to hide them--his own urges were curbed by ONLY eating alternates. He protected his daughter that way a few times when other Ricks came to mess things up, he’d just kill them and eat them, and keep whatever tech they had on them. (He has nothing against Diane, he misses her more than anything but he won’t show it. I’m sure if he met the Diane that would accept him unconditionally he’d become a big booger crying mess.)

Canns created Froopyland in hopes that Beth would make friends, but when she invited her friend Tommy into it and came back with blood all over her mouth and body, Canns realized he should probably be proactive about this. No more eating friends. He manipulated the Froopyland creatures to look and taste like vegetables, and essentially brainwashed Beth into becoming Vegan in order to restrain The Hunger. She doesn’t suffer the urges anymore, but would eventually realize what Froopyland represented into her adult life. Beth would later decide that her dad was sweet for trying to help her so she could grow up normally rather than commit her to some kind of facility, even if Jerry finds it HORRIFIC that neither of them got therapy.

Morty and Summer haven’t shown any signs of giving into The Hunger, probably due to Jerry’s useless genes neutralizing many of the Sanchez gene.

Canns has made improvements on his own digestive and immune system, ensuring that he won’t get any diseases from the Ricks he eats, but he can still get sick based on what THEY were eating. IE if a Rick only eats shit, well. Then that’s gonna taste interesting.

Canns has the appearance of looking pretty rabid and feral, but it’s actually a ruse. When he’s at home, he dresses in pristine labcoats and clothes, but when he’s out traveling, he makes sure that he looks as rabid as possible to complete The Look. Why? Because he loves the thrill of the hunt, and Ricks running from him in terror gets him off. He’s actually a pretty reasonable and nice guy, as far as Ricks go, but he’s still got a temper and all that.

Whenever he sees other Ricks, he automatically starts salivating, he can’t help it. Since Repo regrows his limbs and everything, Canns has a great relationship with him--symbiotic in a way. Repo gains scientific aid and weapons, Canns gets a tasty treat! Canns was always sympathetic to the Retrieval Units anyway, so there’s that.

Canns could at any time edit out The Urge, but he actually really enjoys it. His breath often stinks because of his diet. He can eat “normal” food, but it’s not as satisfying for him, and he prefers eating Ricks. He has been banned from the Citadel, but sometimes still sneaks in.
