[Also, I just got back into learning Spanish after several years... (Some of my coworkers speak Spanish, and I want to learn it again...) Please let me know if any word is used incorrectly! I am not confident enough to write Spanish sentences yet, so I'm only just using a few words here and there... Though I think I struggle with the vocabulary more than the grammar...]

What is a better word of endearment when referring to a grandchild..? I know there are several... So I just stuck with hijo/son... Also, am I using "cariño" correctly here..? I'm a bit nervous... :|
