Look, see the lovely postcards that @cannibalhouse gave me at BTRDC!

She brought back the Chesapeake Stripper, bigger and better with even more fabulous shoes! Sadly I was outside the room so I did not get to see ANY of the acts in the costume competition, and I have not so far come across any photos of the cosplayers in action. I do hope her contribution has not been lost to the sea.

@cannibalhouse, like @docnickie whom I also managed to speak with briefly, is another one of our number who has a chapter in Eating the Rude. So looking forward to reading everyone’s contributions.

some of my favourite things to say when watching horror movies with the bae

- “that’s you” when a monster appears on screen

- “five more minutes” in a raspy tone whenever a corpse is shown. the more decomposed, the funnier the joke. maximum points if it is a skeleton

-  “u okay bro” at someone who is horribly injured or dead

- “minimalmism.” at someone who is missing important body parts (e.g. the end of Martyrs)

- “relatable content” at scenes that are utterly unrelatable to anyone except the person in them

- “me running from my responsibilities” when a monster gives chase

- so many things curiously specific to the Saw franchise
