I don't even think I did anything wrong. It was all normal and justified and just... I don't know, expected?

So many disagree with me, though. I don't care. I don't dwell in the past too often. I've been more active and been thinking about things recently.

i feel like some of my friends only exclusively love me for my kins. and i mean, im glad that you love me as my kins, but i want you to love me as who i am now, too. would we even be friends at all if we didnt both happen to kin these two characters who both happened to be close in media? it just leaves a bad taste in myself sometimes

I kind of pity the source version of me. I'm canon divergent enough that there is no way he could ever become like me.

He'll stay kind, stay warm. I'll concede there is a kind of strength in that.

But as he stays warm in the face of cruelty, there's no coldness, no sharp edge he'll find under the surface. No self worth, no thought he might deserve better and no willingness to fight for it.

You're sweet, my dear.

man, I used to be obsessed with finding people from My Specific Canon, but after spending a long time with my now fiance I can confirm that that stuff really doesn't matter when it comes to like...y'know, connecting with somebody. sometimes you just need somebody that actually understands what you went through, even if they didn't go through the exact same thing, y'know?

I do find it very interesting how some parts of the fandom (I believe it's usually younger people, but not always) tries to make Nightmare and his entourage more sympathetic. Sometimes more morally grey and sometimes outright anti heroes. To be clear I don't think there's anything wrong with that, it's just amusing to me because of how much that doesn't align with my canon. Like no we were just bad people. A lot of people tried to appeal to our better nature or find the good in some of us but. Mno. We just sucked. Of course there's nuance to it and no one is born "evil" but after a certain amount of heinous acts you become pretty irredeemable, especially if you don't want to be redeemed and are perfectly aware of how awful you are. We all chose a path and stuck to it.

It's kind of weird. I was often viewed as the "least immoral" one but I think that was actually Horror? H was a little mean but not a bad person. Or he at least was less of a bad person than the rest of us. He was uncaring of those his loyalties did not lie with and was willing to hurt people yeah but he did have some degree of moral compass. I was willing to disregard my morals for Nightmare's sake because I latched onto authority figures like I couldn't live without them. "Just following orders" in the bad way. I was definitely both more sensitive and more polite than H though, that's probably why people thought I'm "nicer". He tended to be blunt and his humour was distasteful but he still had a certain gentleness about him. Killer and Dust were both just assholes, though. I say that with love in my soul. I do miss all of them. Especially Nightmare. Oh where would I even begin with Nightmare.

Well, weird rant to go on. Wherever the rest of my unofficial queerplatonic evil freak polycule (I do think it's funny to refer to it as such) is I hope the Stars are watching over them.

I'm kin with one of my OCs- a cowboy from Texas in the 1900s. Trouble is, I didn't do much research when creating him; I was going to go back and change any inaccuracies in the second draft, I was expecting to actually BE him. So now I feel guilty, because I'm probably not very accurate even though my source was supposed to be realistic.

sometimes things happen, but remember, its not your fault if your kin mems are inaccurate.
