Eve and Rathanak (a Male version of my character Mary) after a workout. This was really fun to do, and I learned a bit about how to work backgrounds. As always, my bg is styled after the backgrounds created by Steven Sugar for the show Steven Universe. I wanted to do more pictures of two of my oldest characters. I changed Mary’s gender because to her, gender isn’t really important. That, and I wanted to swap her out for a character in a story I’m writing, but the original character was male.

Honestly, I have no idea what I’m doing with art at this point. A little background on this image, I’ve been writing a vampire story for a while. It started as a short comic at first, one which I have the script and the drafts for but I haven’t finished, and then I began writing a book. And then rewriting. While it’s nowhere near close enough to be seen by the human eye, this character and her world has become the focus point of my life for the past year. Yeah, she’s a vampire. Yeah, she looks and dresses like someone who just found out that Hot Topic is a thing. But she’s also just coming to terms that she doesn’t have to be the very male vampire lord that she has been for hundreds of years, so give her a bit of space. It’s taken her some time to come to terms with her new gender identity. Hope you like this! I hope to make more art soon. Cheers!
