Thoughts on Haikyuu are basically: My anxious side's worried the focus will turn off the characters we know & love to a completely different cast or that the series is ending, my logical side knows no one would randomly shift main characters to ones we don't even know and if this was the final arc it likely would have been announced already, my theory side's wondering if they're setting up the Hinata Vs Kageyama fight promised from the very start, where they're on different teams to see who wins

hinata isn’t even remotely on par with kageyama’s skills yet (and probably never will be). and tbh the point of the entire series was that when people are a cohesive team, they’re stronger for it. See seijoh and Iwaizumi’s “there are 6 players on the volleyball court” speech to Oikawa. See Nekoma and kuroo’s “we’re the blood in our veins” speech. See fukurodani and how Bokuto is just a cog in their well-oiled machine.

I never liked karasuno much for that exact reason, because they always got to win matches thanks to random power up of a single character that became their saving grace... I’d be salty as hell if hq ended on hinata acting out on his “i’m a special snowflake” attitude instead of learning that he’s strong because there are strong people at his side. His rivalry with Kags never made much sense to me and I’d hate to see the manga end on that note, completely defeating its own point about camaraderie and teamwork

Honestly though, poor Hinata. Whenever he would be around Oikawa, he'd be ignored as Toru would have to deal with all the fan girls. He'd probably be trampled, the poor baby.

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*

Maka and Death the Kid from Soul Eater.  Look, I admit they hav a decent friendship.  And the battle on the moon (in the manga) really showed them work together as a team great.  However, I just don’t feel like they had like any chemistry.  I was so confused when I got online and found out it was such a popular ship.

Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*

Momojiro.  Honestly, I can only see them as besties.  Idk why, maybe cause I ship Kamijiro?

Freaking Kacchako.  Honestly, I feel like when they are adults maybe.  There’s a fic on AO3 called I will hold you by Alina_Kerrin that I think is good.  But at the point that they are now?  Definitely not.  Now, don’t take this as me being anti-Bakugou, cause I am definitely not, but I feel like he’s still in this process of changing.  He’s evolving into a better person, and I totally respect that, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s tormented Izuku for like 11 years.  He’s working past that and getting better, but Ochako is Izuku’s best friend.  Best friends don’t let anything go, especially not Ochako who is so immensely caring and loyal.  I don’t know, I feel like they have a long way to go still.  And, yeah, it’s pretty popular.

mmh, this list doesn’t do justice to all my faves because I really really like a lot of haikyuu characters... but if I have to choose just five I guess that my first picks would be: 

1. kenma

2. oikawa

Kaminari is the type of person who could easily learn like 5 language and talk about movies in strangely intellectual depth for an hour straight, but then genuinely ask if potatoes feel pain and wonder why anyone invented maths. He's so smart in the right conditions, but such a sweet idiot in others and I love him.

I was so surprised when I found out people disliked Monoma. I always thought he was a fun, interesting character. I think people sometimes can't tell the difference between a bad character and a flawed character. He's supposed to be somewhat annoying to the others, every character has flaws, but I genuinely always liked him. I still don't get it.

I don’t get it because he’s literally written with the same flaws as Bakugou, except Bakugou is a fandom favourite while Monoma gets bashed for no reason
