🚘⭒I have a camera now ⁺⋆📸

~ been playing around with how it all works. It's weird to be starting with little knowledge & learning as I go after so many years of using my phone with ease, but I really like it this way. I took about 50 photos trying to get this one shot (the first photo) for my new profile picture & I realised this is going to be my life now x3. I was arguing with my camera the way car people argue with their cars. Usually, when I receive equipment to do with my passions, I get scared that I won't be able to use it to its potential & will let people down. All I felt upon holding this camera was a flood of project ideas & visions for my life. I am excited, I am hopeful. It feels strange & unknown, but full of wonder. Not unlike other aspects of my life. I'm looking forward to this new chapter. ♡

The Barton Path Little Egret, River Dour, Dover, Kent, UK A hand-held zoomed photo of some 15 yards showing a "Little Egret" lurking in shadows below overhanging foliage on the far side of the River Dour where it runs besides the Barton Path (1), an ancient pathway of Dover, England. Photo (2) taken at 7.21 am on Monday, 6th of September 2021, during my morning bike ride. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) web page for the Little Egret includes the following info: "Scientific name: Egretta garzetta Bird family: Herons, storks and ibises UK conservation status: Green Protected by The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981" (1) The Barton Path was where I did an underwater test on my Gopro Hero 8 Black action camera (available on my YouTube Channel: jorolat) (2) Camera: Canon 600D DSLR with a 55-250 mm telephoto lens.
