Why does this pic go kinda hard? It's like a movie poster or something.
Female Noble False Widow (Steatoda nobilis), Ireland
I've just started college and I'm taking a module on bees and beekeeping (for funsies) and even though I have done my own research of them in the past, it still blows my mind how cool they are, despite being so integrated into the public's eye. Anyway, this lovely lady was thirsty. Sipping from a puddle on a leaf. :)
Western Honey bee (Apis mellifera), Ireland
EDIT: MODULE, not course. So like, that along with other subjects. I was a bit tired writing that.
Gosh these ladies are so simple but so pretty. They can get pretty big and those ones always make me look at them in awe.
Female Cross Orbweaver (Araneus diadematus), Ireland
Enjoying her daisy :)
Female Canestrini's Harvestman (Opilio canestrinii), Ireland
One of the most underrated insects in my opinion. Barklice are tiny lil guys that many MANY people overlook, even entomologists. But, most are surprisingly easy to identify once you have the equipment, (in UK and Ireland at least) as their wing venation and wing colours are the primary way of classifying them. In fact, I have identified maybe 10 species from my tiny TINY garden over the last year or so. So yeah, say hi to these lil guys if you see them. They love to hang around on the underside of leaves.
Yellow Barklouse (Valenzuela flavidus), Ireland
These are very pretty spiders. But with very goofy faces.
Female Goldenrod Crab Spider (Misumena vatia), Ireland
