When you're an Autistic person with a printer and one of your hyperfixations came back:
I’m curious if any of you have ever used the photo kiosk at Walmart or anywhere similar. I was wondering what it would cost to print off 62 4x6 photos and google told me $9.92 but I don’t know if that’s right??? If any of you know for sure, please let me know. I was printing off pictures my own at home but ink is expensive and I just bought a new cartridge, only for it to be faulty. It had absolutely no magenta in it and the others were basically dried up. I’m just feeling a little defeated rn 💀💀💀
so. our old printer has been malfunctioning for a while and finally a couple weeks ago it ran out of ink (during submissions week too) and dad just couldn't get hold of ink for it.
then he thought hey maybe it's time for a new one
he bought a new printer. A new Canon printer.
WHEN I HEARD I ALMOST CHOKED ON ALL THE IN-SHOW ADVERTISING FLASHBACKS
Like. WDYM I'M GOING TO HAVE A CANON PRINTER IN MY HOUSE THAT'S GAY AF
who's coming to my house to pour ink in it for me so we can have slow motion eye contact. maybe I can feed you curry. laws of physics defying touches?
I finally got a printer and I will be able to offer prints and stickers on ebay in the very near future! Woo 🎉
I'm ecstatic with the quality this printer produces. I just need to get the settings perfect on this beast.
when i can't identify a piece of computer technology from my show 🤪🤪🤪
i was just like hey. i never noticed the printer! or i did and forgot. i know i've wondered about it, if they had one. but now i'm like hey. that's pretty small and streamlined for ~2007-2008, i wonder what it is. surely i can figure it out...
reverse image search didn't get me much but did stumble into the hp deskjet 450 on the way and it is close! but too round! look up a review on the 460 to see what it looks like and it mentions a canon prixma ip90v so i go look for that and!
the ip90 was first available in 2005, ip90v in 2007 - i think they look the same though - and pretty slick for the time. i can rest easy now that mystery is solved 😌
my tag for screenshots of their computer screens on spn lol
Ongoing enshittification of IOT: Canon printer version
My old printer died and there was a Canon printer on sale. Scored it, got it, and set it up.
Now I need an app just to use my printer?!
To print an envelope?!
Not everything needs an app. I should be able to go into my word processing program, select print envelope, enter the information, and print the fucking thing, not go through a fifteen step ordeal!
