dunno what brought this about (kinda spammy feeling but whatever) but when/if i need to download a youtube video, i use yt-dlp. i see what you linked is the commencement speech on robyn's channel, i linked to the source video posted by the school when i remade the gifs with the high quality video. i'm glad it's on youtube as well.
someone else did the work of getting the whole thing and put it on twitter that day and that's what i stumbled into when i went looking so my easy way of downloading that is using the xcancel version (twitter content pulled from twitter expressly to avoid interacting with actual twitter/needing to have an account for browsing/searching/etc, their about page here) to get it:
then i can just right-click and save the video (which points to the twitter source).

all right so after much fiddling in daz3d i got a kind of usable base for a reference for sad girl in car maybe in this painting (lol hedging!)
much iterations and confusion trying to learn how the lights/environment/rendering settings work. would like to know how to do things like skin textures but realistically i'm only using this for references i really don't need to be doing all that, but it would be nice. i do think though that i would immediately be overwhelmed because i know very little about 3d

okay i got a question about "guano". every time they use this word i have to do a little mental lookup. is there a region in the US that uses guano regularly for going batshit/insane etc? i haven't lived everywhere but i have lived in the southwest, west, upper midwest, miami (lol it's its own region) and new england. and i don't remember ever hearing it said by anyone. john was in the military, was it something from him? anyway. stalling!

well, hello leslie odom jr in poi as well, in what sounds like could possibly be a recurring situation. and/or just intro to a new big bad. much better episode to be in than this mess above :S
decided to try out daz 3d studio (free), partially I'm stalling because confidence is not super high, to create a reference for half of my thru your phone painting, so I can avoid copyright issues and theoretically create the base of an expression to work with. it's kind of a challenging interface and still need to wrap my head around how the lighting works, but it's pretty cool
