To help clear up some of the issue, there are different classifications of carnivore. There are obligate carnivores who rely only on animal tissue for nutrition (Sharks and Cats fall under this category). Wolves are hypercarnivores, they have a diet that consists of 70% meat, they are capable of digesting fruits and plants. (The other carnivores are Mesocarnivores and Hypocarnivores). Wolves are specifically facultative hyper-carnivores, hope this helps!
