i'm so glad we have another southern sass master on board the enterprise! seriously it's been so much fun plotting with you (and god bless the mirror verse tbh), and i'm so excited to get things rollin' with bones and charlene!

I am so glad we started plotting. I love speaking with you about our two muses. Southern stubborn assholes they’re indeed, but McCoy is slowly becoming her dad ( well he isn’t in the mirror verse ) but he’s her dad who nags her when she overworks and has drinking competitions with. Aka, the best adopted dad in history, let’s be honest. I love your writing and I can’t wait to see what happens in 2017!

   it's a bittersweet return, to once again fly aboard the enterprise. in a way, it was like    coming HOME. there was familiarity to the layout, to the crew, to the mission they    would now be continuing, but there was no denying the air of novelty that surrounded    them. this ship would never be the ship of his first command, the ship that had twice    saved the earth, the ship that had led them through the historic first half of the five year    mission. no matter how close she replicated the look of the original, the A would always    be her own ship, in the shadow of her predecessor but with her own path ahead of her.    only time would tell what kind of legacy she would forge for herself.    for the ship’s captain, it’s been an adjustment. since the new ship had been completed,    kirk’s found himself torn between a nostalgic yearning for his old vessel and the thrill    of discovering just what the new one had to offer. still, whatever his own adjustments,    they were secondary to those of the CREW. kirk’s been careful to monitor their well    being, enlisting the help of his chief medical officer, in order to make the transition as    smooth as possible. && so he leans in the doorway, arms folded across his chest --    a casual stance he adopts around few crew members as easily as he does with mccoy.                              “ so, bones, how’s the new sickbay measure up ?? “

        |  Doctor,  I would like to consult you on my decreasing ability to sleep  &&.  unprecedented  NIGHTMARES. Would you have any  remedies  available for either of these symptoms?  |

                    N E V E R    had he planned to report to Sick Bay  willingly  for such an issue.  It was the surfacing sign of  DECAY  in his Vulcan facade,  meant to be accepted  &&.  suppressed  so that it would no longer trouble him.  But the sleepless nights could no longer be ignored  ;;   even the  VULCAN  physiology could not withstand such abuse for long.  He could brush off the reason for his insomnia,  shift the blame to his desire to attend to his work,  supplement it with sleep medication once he had found his way to the doctor’s office.  But it was  HER.  It. Them.   Everything.   Statistics alone could force him away from rest,  if only it had stopped  there.  Closed leap of... he had no right to say  LOGIC.  What caused his  GUILT,  his lingering  g r i e f,  were not logical,  &&. would therefore fail to be addressed.  It had been a busy year. There is much work to be done still. A weary mind can shift away from the task of hand, particularly in sleep. Nothing else had to be said of it.   What he subjected himself to in dreams would never be shared as far as he was concerned.  The doctor would prescribe rightly  &&.  Spock would have no more to discuss,  it was clear cut.                                                   If only he did not have to be questioned in the process.

sticking his head into the medbay, jim glanced around. oh how he hated the medbay. whenever he said he was fine after getting attacked by something OR exposed to something, nurses or BONES was right up on him, testing everythig. so one could say his fear of being in the medbay was justified. it wasn’t really a fear, more of a d i s l i k i n g of the place.

his gaze searched among the blue shirts till he found mccoy tending to a sick crew memeber. he tried his best to signal bones over, waving his arms in the arm, but bones didn’t seem to notice.

finally after a full minute of looking like a chicken without its head, jim walked into the medbay and right up next to his doctor friend. “ bones, “  his tone was very mischievious, “ can i ask something of you? “
