We are bringing in our own alcohol for our wedding. This will save us money, but let’s be honest, booze ain’t cheap. My little wedding alcohol calculator tool tells me that I need to buy 125 bottles of wine and 200 bottles of beer. THAT’S A FUCKTON OF BOOZE!!! Where am I supposed to store it???

I just got a quote back from a restaurant in Malibu - to rent the place out for an evening triggers a “ Full Day Exclusive Restaurant Hire” which after taxes and fees comes out to almost $300,000.00

I’m Not A Wedding Visionary
Film producing comes naturally to me, and I really thought this would too. But film producing is usually executing someone else’s vision, where in this case I don’t even have a vision. I have glimpses (like recycled soup cans painted with glitter, with pin-holes punched in them, and candles inside), but no fully fledged “vision” per se.

I’ve heard a lot of “do what you want, it’s YOUR day” and one “the marriage is for you, the wedding is for everyone else”.

The temptation was strong. The pictures were so pretty. But I refuse to buy in to this ridiculous industry any more than I absolutely have to. Plus, who needs magazines when you have the internet?
