Ok I know it's been a long while BUT, I did not stop canvasing and am going to take the next couple of days to catch up to where I'm at so expect MANY more posts !! :D So, this is from day 8, a little bit of a fanart doodle of @irllylikeclownsalot 's gemsona gems !! Fable is such a cool looking character(and Clownie an awesome person), so I had to get an homage to them on the canvas >:)

looking back on the sketches for this, I really changed a LOT when I actually inked it in lmao

coloring / inking are always my favorite part ESPECIALLY on something like this. I haven't physically colored in anything in soooo long it's just so satisfying

last touches and that's it! This was a fun little exercise, I really find hats difficult + hardly ever draw them so this was good practice for myself too. All in all, glad I did it, it's one of my favorites on there to this day Thank you all for reading / looking, and stay creative :)

canvas day 15 !! This was a cute little one I did right after creating a new character by the name of... (drumroll please) Domino ! He has a gold/yellow and black color scheme and since I knew I'd be updating the design soon enough(even after just drawing him) I decided to just add a nice illusion to him this day cause I was excited :) So without further adew, process pics belowww...

Sketching this one was a nice return to some easy shapes lmao...

Coloring dots is oddly fun, I think because when you do it right it's very satisfying. Even more so when you do it with some nice metallic acrylics, the ink in these ones is just so juicy and feels good to use. I dunno how to describe it right, just artist things lmao

days 17 and 18 !! Now uh, technically these were actually before the last doodle, I got it confused in my library and thought that the little goldstone had been RIGHT after the domino. Whoops ! Either way here are some minis, a little star and some felt squares by the sewing stuff hehe Process pics belowww, star's stuff is on the left and the squares are on the right !!

Coloring and INKINGGGGGGGG!! Here you can actually compare the coloring first Vs coloring after methods side by side. I'm so used to doing the latter on digital I forget sometimes that maybe it'd be easier the other way 'round haha. Had to redo the ink on the felt squares for sure

Anddd done! These were some fun little doodles that I feel really add some extra fun to the canvas, my ultimate plan is to do all the really big drawings and then fill in all the gaps with minis to make it a big ol' art collage hehe thank you all for reading / looking and stayyyyyyy creative !!

canvas day 16 !! This one is also quite special, being a drawing of a little goldstone. Based off a beloved but twisted character of mine hehe. Progress pics and thoughts + origin story down belowww...

Colors + sketching, not to mention the picture of me absolutely SPEED erasing the tiny pencil lines lol...

Coloring, inking, and for once shadows and highlights. Mostly because I knew without them it wouldn't really read as a goldstone, since one of the main characteristics of one is that it's orangey-red but glitters gold. I feel like it also helps it stand out on the canvas, which is lovely hehe

Now for my story here...

This one is inspired by another character of mine who I RP a version of with some friends, who is also the adoptive mama of Domino(hence being placed next to his symbol on the canvas). The Golden One, Vendetta, Vidya, whatever you want to call her is very much a 'BBEG that can offer you everything in exchange for your soul', with the RP version basically being a General with twisted morals she holds with utmost conviction. Anywho, the whole point is that she is represented by the Goldstone crystal, with this drawing based on an actual piece I had that I bought in her honor(I like pairing my characters with such things + she was created in a Steven Universe RP surprise !).

I coulda probably skipped some of the backstory there but I haven't had a chance to nerd out about her or the others much on the wider internet yet so I just wanted to include that tidbit lmao
