a friend and i were just talking how it’s interesting to see the level of nuance put into nicky pre, during and post crusades which directly corresponds to the level of favouritism the fandom has for him despite the horrific nature of his first death and what he was doing when he first died. then we see everything from his first death to his trauma being weaponised against booker and it’s like. mmmm. i see.
