Of course the final is open to interpretation and is up to every single one of you to decide what do you think happened to Nick, but i do believe this seems to be most reasonable explanation. If he wanted to join sabrina (which he didn't even know where she was or if he was gonna see her again) he would've done right away but as those messages pointed out sabrina looked settled and nick even attended her funeral. He lost his soulmate and grieved her until the sadness took him too. It's not the perfect ending by any means, but it's better than the alternative.

I REALLY want a fic about the time spent between Faustus and Sabrina in the Mountains of Madness. It’s impossible to think that they haven’t had any discussion. Think this for a minute, he is relaxed with her because he knows she is going to die. Knowing that he could have opened up to her about his life and his motivations, his behaviour and his... feelings towards well, Zelda 😂.

To spellwood authors out there, please do something if you feel inspired.

I’m thinking... I believe the Blackwood twins were only a plot device for Zelda and Faustus to get closer in pt1. It’s tricky to have babies on set anyway, never mind twins, and apparently the writers just hate babies since Adam was there for like 2 minutes (my heart cries forever for him).

Oh and never mind the inconsistencies with their birth like, Constance clearly didn’t go through a full witch pregnancy and they ended up being absolutely fine. Maybe they don’t have powers but knowing their father... I doubt he would have kept them alive otherwise. I do remember he planned on sacrificing them for the Eldritch egg. Hmmm.

And I also believe the writers always forget about having the twins in the show. Because they have zero interesting interactions in pt4. We do have a good looking Blackwood family in the emperor AU, but that’s all. Do we see them after Prudence get Faustus’ body back ? I have to rewatch. I already had been pissed at the way the Spellmans treated the twins in pt3 but now it’s seems they are just forgotten.

What do you think ?

I mean... Emperor Blackwood... How can Faustus be a warlock himself in this and don’t know about who is a witch ?? It would have been so useful to keep this part of his memory... I’m thinking the man takes time and effort to come to this point and doesn’t think this through ? I know he is stupid but still far-fetched imo.

Alright, alright.

Not really surprised but still. It’s not going to be wrapped up with a pretty bow, every plot to be resolved. No way.

Maybe the reason is the pandemic honestly. In comparison to other shows, CAOS is the weaker one on Netflix. From my pov it’s a marketing/profit decision. They rather say it’s cancelled because it’s such a big production and they cannot shoot anything before 2022. They must have been negotiating with Netflix since March. I don’t think it was planned that way. Netflix is stuck with all the shows they have in hand and cannot do classic promotions (tv, conventions, YouTube, magazines etc).

But I think CAOS had a slump in their audience from pt 2 to pt 3. They rushed the production and wrote characters differently and rewrote the essence of the show from pt 1. If I had more strength I would have stopped watching.

I want to sign whatever petition, not for CAOS pt 5, but for Chilling Adventures of Zelda XD.

I’m used to signing petitions now, we’re all professionals in the field. Although this is much less important in the world right now. It’s painful, but it’s just a show.

Hey, so I’ve been on Wikipedia and found the list of writers for part 4. So it seems they put 4 new writers who have never written an episode of CAOS before. I don’t know how screenwriting works, so I’m just here to expose the facts.

I observed:

- Part 1: 5 episodes co-written (CH6/8/9/10/11)

- Part 2: 2 episodes co-written (CH13/18)

- Part 3: 1 episode co-written (CH28)

- Part 4: 3 episodes co-written (CH29/34/35)

As for part 4:

- The episodes written by a single screenwriter are with new people.

- The second part of the season is co-written by screenwriters who are here from part 1 (responsible for the good and the bad episodes unfortunately).

- Ep4 is written by a screenwriter who didn’t write for part 3 (and co-wrote Chapter 8, just saying... but she also co-wrote Chapter 18, so stepford-Zelda). So there’s a lot to be expecting for this episode.

- I also remarked that part 1 to 3 had paired almost only writers of the same sex. With the exception of 2 on 8 episodes over the 3 parts. These 2 episodes are in part 1 (CH6/9). Part 4 has teams of mixed screenwriters every time.

- Part 4 new writers are women, 2 worked for supernatural/fantastic tv series before (IMBD). I couldn’t get info on Eleanor Jean. Also only women apart from RAS are lonely writers in this part. For comparison: the episodes written by at least one woman are 6 for pt1; 4 for pt2; and 3 for pt3 (note there are 2 episodes less in part 3, which represents a bit less percentage of episodes written by a woman than for pt2). So for part 4, about 90% of the season is written by at least one female screenwriter. That’s a big change. I wonder what made them change radically from 40/50% to 90%. Part 1 had a good ratio already, but this season will be something new.

Now we wait.
