A week at Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Three weeks ago now, and it feels like thirty. More to come...
This pictures were taken from a place called El Farallón. It overlooks Cap Cana which is another town next to Punta Cana.
There used to be a very nice restaurant up here but now it's all in ruins. I don't understand very much of what's going on here but Cap Cana seems to be a very expensive place to buy property and people have not profited from them. As I understand, Trump (yes, Donald), owns this land ( it sure if the whole Cap Cana or just the land that covers El Farallón), and there have been problems because the people who bought the land from Trump we're trying to scam him and it went to this huge legal trial, etc, etc, etc. I may research and see exactly what's going on with it. It's a gorgeous place but many people have bought condos and properties and basically have lost the money. I also heard that even renting is not good as they have a monopoly with all services which are 10 times more expensive than anywhere else. The people who live there only do it to say they live in Cap Cana. So I've heard. I don't know much about it though. I only know that I couldn't afford to live there so no my battle to fight.
