All Sign Ups for the Marvel Reverse Big Bang Are Now Open!
Art Sign Ups will run from July 28th to September 1st!
In order for Art to be eligible for this bang is has to be new content and related to Marvel in some way shape or form. A reverse big bang is unique in that the written work is based off of the art instead of the other way around! Artist are welcome to submit up to 6 pieces of art for the Marvel Reverse Big Bang!
Author and Beta Sign Ups will run from July 28th to September 25th!
Authors and Betas will have the opportunity to claim the art pieces and collaborate with the artists to create a written work based on the art piece(s) claimed. As of right now, there is a one art piece limit for claims. After round 1 of claims is over, the mods will determine if we are running a second round.
Pinch Hitters Sign Ups will open on July 28th and run indefinitely.
Pinch Hitters are some of the most vital pieces of any bang. If an author has to drop out of the bang for any reason, then the art piece will go to the pinch hitters. Someone will then have a chance to pick up the art piece so this way it will not go unclaimed!

Chapter 4! There will be more cuddling. Hopefully happier cuddling. Hopefully soon.
Marvel Steve playing video games for the first time, is delighted by something light hearted (like Mario)
[Sam convinces Steve to play videogames with some Vets at the VA.]
He honestly doesn’t think video games will be his thing. Why would he play at violence and war when he is surrounded by the real thing constantly? Still, he trusts Sam with his life and if Sam says he might enjoy a game, Steve will at least try it.
Sam assures him it will be fun as he ushers Steve into the small little recreation room at the VA. There are a few younger vets in the room, one in a chair, playing a gameboy, a few others on the couch, controllers in their hands.
“Who wants to teach Captain America to play Super Mario?” Sam announces to the room.
The kid with the gameboy shoots his hand up first and the boys on the couch scoot to make room for their favorite Avenger (well, not scott’s favorite. Scott liked the Hulk the best.)
“Classic or 64?” The vet says going for the console and controllers.
Sam grins. “I was thinking Sunshine.”
The room scoffs, but they set up the game anyway. Sam settles at the back, content to watch.
Steve takes the controller he is handed and watches the screen as it boots up. “So, what’s the point of this game?”
Jeremiah, the one with the gameboy, answers. “Well, you, Mario, are going on vacation with your girl, Princess Peach and Bowser wants to kidnap her, so your plane goes down…”
Steven tries not to dwell on the irony of that.
“So I have to save the princess?”
“No, not exactly, you gotta clean this island first because someone who looks like you is vandalizing the place and so you get this cool robot power washer and you make the island pretty again.”
Steve nods, looking at the controller in his hand. “So, using this I run around this island and clean it?”
“Pretty much.”
Steve laughs. “Alright.”
Jeremiah quickly explains the controls as the cut scene starts. Steve goes silent. He’s seen animated films before (he didn’t cry during the toy story movies, no way), but he can’t help but think how bright and silly it all is.
There’s something about being able to interact with this cartoon like world, with it’s fun music and bright colors. He looks back and Sam and smiles. Sam give him a thumbs up.
There is a learning curve to it but eventually Steve gets the hang of it. Joystick to move, A to jump. There is a lot of jumping.
“You gotta press A twice to jump up that wall, Cap!”
“You can punch bad guys but you can’t get Mario to jump up a wall?!”
The guys oo and aw and also rib at him a little, but it’s all in good fun.
Steve plays for a couple of hours, really getting into it when Sam comes and taps him on the shoulder. “You’ve got that super secret Avengers meeting at 4:00, don’t you, Steve?”
The other guys aw loudly when Steve confirms that, yes, he does have to leave for a Very Sercret, Very Important Meeting with the Avengers. He passes the controller to Scott, who happily takes the lead.
“Thanks for teaching this old man the ropes,” he says, waving as he leaves.
“You coming back next week, Cap?”
Steve laughs. “Yeah! That island isn’t going to clean itself, is it?”
Sam follows him out, walks Steve to his car. “Thanks for coming out today, Steve. Those guys really appreciated it.”
Steve shakes his head. “Next, I’ll be speaking at one of your meetings!”
Sam cracks a grin. “That is the plan,” he elbows him jokingly. “But, we will see you next week?”
