Happy May the Fourth! I added a second page to this comic from last year!
Yeah okay Ill reblog that!
Not a scholar at first, but the guy who wrote Jaws hated that people used it to justify hating sharks so much he dedicated the rest of his life to shark research and advocacy.
The woman who popularized gender reveals wishes she hadn't, afaik.
(afaik- the woman who popularized gender reveals did so because she had a long history of miscarriages. The reveal was a celebration of the fact that one of her pregnancies had gotten far enough that there WAS a physical sex to reveal. It was never intended to be like... *gestures at modern gender reveals* all that. That same kid later came out as trans and yes, the family had a second gender reveal for that lol.)
This whole thread is so beautiful to me that I can explain it
The man who invented the K-Cup coffee pod almost 20 years ago says he regrets doing so and can't understand the popularity of the products t
L. David Mech, who popularised the idea that there were 'alpha' and 'beta' wolves in his 1970 book The Wolf, has spent the rest of his career trying to debunk this. (The original studies were done on captive wolves, and thus didn't simulate an accurate model of wolf pack dynamics.)
The idea that wolf packs are led by a merciless dictator, or alpha wolf, comes from old studies of captive wolves. In the wild, wolf packs a
In the wild, researchers have found that most wolf packs are simply families, led by a breeding pair, and bloody duels for supremacy are rare.
“What would be the value of calling a human father the alpha male?” says L. David Mech, a senior research scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey, who has studied wolf packs in the wild for decades. “He’s just the father of the family. And that’s exactly the way it is with wolves.”

So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:
Absolutely iconic.
hehehehehe
E.G.G. "The birth of bad ideas" - Etho (HC11)
Always an Angel with the Vsmp cast!
Had a little idea :3, feel free to ask me about character choice for certain lyrics (I’ll mostly have a reason!)
Also this whole thing is made up of my warm up sketches for this month, two horse with one spear if you will
Still drawings below cut ⬇️
"Abolish won—" He had to do paperwork. That was the one thing he wanted to avoid. Abolish might've won in the eyes of the people. But that man lost.
"gender is a social construct": fairly easy for leftists to understand
"race is a social construct": a bit harder to swallow for some but still reasonable
"mental illness is a social construct": this one gets you hate mail in your inbox
Gotta add previous tags on here, because this is gonna live rent free in my head from now on. The stars are real, constellations are not. Damn. Tags by @smoreofbabylon (if you don’t want me to put you on blast like this I’ll delete lol!)
“FMA is bad because it portrays war criminals as sympathetic, likable people” bro that’s the point. That’s the whole point. That is THE point. Did you think Ethnic Cleanser is some kind of special category of person that gets separated away from all the Good People at birth? Did you think there’s some kind of barn full of Genocide Doers that only gets deployed into the general public during world wars? Did you think assholes who do terrible shit in real life are never charming or likable or capable of doing good things and helping people? One of the best parts of FMA is how we the audience realize that some of our core protags have made irredeemable choices, and we have to reckon with the fact that they’re still people, with the unalienable rights and qualities thereof. Sorry if the Problematics aren’t constantly wearing a dunce cap and a list of all their crimes and this makes the media incomprehensible to you

McCalls Pikachu Plush 2512 Sewing Pattern
This thing has been out of print for like, 26 years and some of us want to make chubby classic pikachu so uh... I figure it's okay to share bc it's kinda hard to get your hands on the remaining physical copies.
Bonus points: Aelith made some embroidery/applique files for it too
Remade by AeilithArt so that we could use the pattern without like, destroying it. It's not exact since it's trace, but it's p much the same
no for real like sit over there and drink your little beverage and stay tf out of the way let me cook
as a kitchen dweller this is 100% my preferred configuration
big cooking sessions are a ven diagram that makes a circle of "Do Not Enter My Cooking Space" and "Please Hang Out and Talk with Me"
also, this is sort of similar to Shotgun Duties in a car - on a long kitchen trip Kitchen Chair should be in charge of music, and be available for such things as "can you hand me that towel?" and "oh thanks for refilling my drink" ... and of course watching out for cops
we've all talked about Scott's incredible social game on Vampires SMP (which is undeniably excellent) but I refuse to let anyone forget about Cleo's amazing social game. they straight up refuse to choose a side, allying with both the humans and the vampires, and both teams just... let her. Cleo's so convincing that everyone pretty much accepts that "yeah, Cleo does whatever Cleo wants, and as long as we have Pearl on our side they'll probably ally with us in the end." NOBODY else would be able to get away with that... it's truly iconic
I miss them... my beloveds
