my drink of choice is rum neat, what do I care about mimosas. enjoy eating your beverages
blocked, reported. mimosas are the hangover-brunch staple, like if you’d said ‘oh but bloody mary’s’ i might be willing to concede the point, but. c’mon. mimosas are great. i love bourbon, yeah, but there’s a time and a place, and ‘11 am on a Sunday’ is time for embracing yr inner middle-aged mom and going straight for the fresh-squeezed OJ and cheap sparkling wine
and i will enjoy eating my beverages, thank you.

I fling a postcard at you to validate your opinions, except for the one re pulpy orange juice
pulpy orange juice is a deal-breaker, sorry. bits or gtfo. i mean, sure, sometimes there are too many bits, but no bits at all?? nope, sorry. have fun with your textureless juice and trash mimosas.
(aloe juice does have better bits but OJ bits are still important and valid, ok)

can I love everything about this post
this blog is just a thinly-veiled request for validation and acceptance of my shitty opinions, of COURSE you can love everything about that post
tbh kinda think of you as the chuck tingle of the fandom occasionally
thank you. and of course that’s in a good way - chuck tingle is one of my heroes, i can only dream of reaching the heights of baffling porn that he does. i’m honored to even be mentioned in the same sentence as him.
like i’m not ever gonna be a BNF but i still hope that, if anyone ever has cause to look back on this fandom, that i am immortalized as That One Blog That Did All the Weird Shameless Dumb Shit

Happiness Patrol. yes it’s got the weird allsorts villain, but as a piece of anti-Thatcher fiction it’s pretty great. and tbh the weird allsorts villain just adds to its charm + liquid hot candy being used to kill people is frankly terrifying
It’s delightful. Honestly, Ace’s whole era is the best classic Who starting point (though I do have a fondness for season 24). Great writing, great political critiques, strong sense of mythos (though thank goodness they didn’t make Lungbarrow), fantastic characterization, and better pacing than the rest of Classic Who.

only caveat i’d note is some groups don’t have the same opportunity to steer hot shows like white dudes have, so you might have valid “how to fix the show” comments from people who have perfectly valid points but no showrunning experience. but i feel you on the “the show was better before the sonic sunglasses” type complaints
Yeah, in terms of comments from the angle of marginalized voices, they definitely would be the caveat for those reasons and should definitely be heard. I was speaking more towards the sort of “5 ways to fix Doctor Who” sort of posts/articles/whatever that seem to plague the Internet and list things like eliminating timey-wimey plots or story arcs or whatever simply because the writer doesn’t like them despite there being no particular evidence that they’re harming the show and despite that sort of storytelling being the general direction tv is moving in.
kink slash fetish: kinder surprises
fuck no | no thanks | eeeh | not sure | I’d give it a shot | sure why not | omfg yes | there go my pants | holy fuck take me now
(the sexual tension that builds between the gentle, sensual unwrapping and the toy breaking loose is unparalleled, tbh)
