So if anyone was wondering why cape cod creatures has been slow to add more work to the portfolio and stopped posting listings for blanks over the past few months, it's because I've been busy renovating the back rooms of my dog boutique. It is now, officially, a DIY dog wash! There are still some kinks to work out, but we open for the first baths tomorrow. It feels like a giant weight has been lifted. Now to just pay off the loan i took out to pay for it all.....
So, I’ve decided to open up for 1 request spot. Is there a design or character you’d like to see brought to life? Now is your chance. I’ll entertain requests for canines, owls, and dragons over the bases I currently have available. The finished head will then go up for auction, starting bid at cost of materials!
Also, today is a good day for an ask anything session, so have at it! I’ll answer anything you ask, no limits (well, mostly anything).

Quick update
The Coyote head auction was moved to furbuy.com. I'm still waiting on that jawset, so imagine it with chompers. Check it out and spread the word. I have a huge announcement for after the holidays and I'm gonna need me some funds. In the meantime, I have to decide what color fur to make the owl gryphon... I have that beautiful brown fur from a while back, and some luxury black, and I still have some white fox. I'm going to see what joanns has tomorrow, but otherwise I'm thinking that brown fur would be cute. I'm also open to suggestions. I'll also be casting horns for the dragon and eyes for the gryphon tomorrow.
Finished! Mostly. Still 1 elastic to sew in for the battery pack, and a head spine to put in, and the eye mesh is cut and waiting to go in. And i might hit him once more with the clippers. Otherwise he goes home tomorrow! So Excite!
Work Log Update! (exciting stuff, I know.)
- 3 canine blanks going out tomorrow, Saturday, and Monday, respectively. - Brio's sculpt is almost done, he'll be cast for a mold next week. - Blesbok horns are prepped for molding. - Mini Springbok horns are prepped for molding. - Female springbok horns will be listed on etsy tomorrow.
Re: Springbok Horns: The current molds are such that you can see a slight seam on the horn, but it's very slight. I'll be trying a block mold on the mini horns to see if that works better, but the seams are only noticeable If you're looking for them. But I know where they are, and thus see them. and your soul. ugh.
