now that i actually have something in a gdoc, sure! this is cape fic, not girl mack.
i'm loving writing my cape fic because it's so fun getting to explore gabe's quebecois identity and the idea of who he is without will and leno's american-ness and the shaping of the ntdp... who would he have been if he'd gone back to sherbrooke sooner after the cup win? if he'd played in the q? he's not even called gabe here—to my understanding that's not really a thing in qc. he's gabriel or gabi or gab. it's just so so good exploring it, who he is without living in that in between space he is now. captivating!!!
