The power remains out for tens of thousands in Massachusetts after a tornado touched down on Cape Cod Tuesday, causing significant damage.
They Were Surfing When They Noticed Blood In The Water. Then They Saw The Shark.
On August 21, panicked beachgoers started yelling at surfers to get out of the water in Orleans, Massachusetts, in a scene that resembled something straight out of “Jaws.”
The surfers from Brooklyn were enjoying themselves in the water at Nauset Beach when just feet away, they saw a shark attacking a seal. “I just swam for my life right there, just dreading the moment the shark was gonna pull me in and suck me in,” said Zevi Greenspan. Fortunately, everyone was able to reach shore before the shark set its sights on them, but the seal wasn’t so lucky.
Watch the scary scene unfold as the seal is killed and the surfers start paddling toward the beach. Some believe it was a great white shark.

The beach was closed shortly after the attack, but thankfully, none of the people there got hurt. To say that I’d have been terrified in those surfers’ shoes is definitely an understatement.

Arrived and all 4 kids are asleep
Three hours door to door drive with no potty breaks or traffic, makes Saturday night an ideal time to drive to Cape Cod. Knowing that I got the last available room on a busy weekend, I was not surprised to not find a single parking spot near the lobby. Ughh. The fact that some pompous fool in a BMW took up two parking spaces made the start to my getaway less than pleasant. Entitled! I have a few pet peeves when it comes to checking in late at night at beachside resorts. 1. Minimal employees are working and there is a lack of focus on service. 2. It's dark and I don't know where anything is 3. At least one child is fast asleep. 4. Employees rush and don't provide enough details like accurate directions to the room and the wifi passcode. Good news is that we had an uneventful drive, are checked in and the kids are asleep. One point for this mami. Now I'm going to research activities for tomorrow and plan our day. Hasta luego.
