In the process of looking for one of my Mom's quilted Christmas wall hangings, I found this big piece of fake fur. I originally bought this to make our giant Lady Justice puppet's hairdo, but somebody else wanted to use dyed mop heads. This was one piece at SAS fabrics, so I bought the whole chunk with the intention of making something. It is incredibly soft. I can't believe the fabrics they make with polyester. I may try to make a slouchy cape coat. My last fake fur cape coat was too structured and made me look like Sponge Bob. I love the fake fur stole I made last winter. It would be nice to have a cozy fake fur wrap in Phoenix and another one in Tucson since the session is approaching. Stay tuned. I haven't quite figured out the design. I also found some soft black material that I purchased for linings but have been using it as a shawl. I'm going to add some trim to that so it looks less like a piece of cloth and more like a shawl. I worked a lot in the den today -- organizing, tossing, moving and donating stuff to give myself space to sew and make jewelry. I owe two granddaughters Moana necklaces.
