One of the world's most beautiful drives - Cape Town to The Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Go via Boulder's Beach on the way down and then back up the other side he peninsula via Chapman's Peak Drive. Because they drive on the left in South Africa, this will ensure you're always on the seaside lane. . This pic is just south of Chapman's Oeak Drive, not far from Cape Point. . Note that Cape Point is NOT the southern tip of mainland Africa. That's a couple of hundred miles away at Agulhas. Die letzte Etappe der Südafrika Reise führte uns mit dem Camper von Port Elisabeth, über die Garden Route nah der Küste, Richtung Kapstadt. Eine Strecke, die extrem viel zu bieten hat und darum auch relativ frequentiert ist.

Von der Jeffrey’s Bay, dem Surf Mecca Südafrikas, ging es über den wunderschönen Tsitsikamma Nationalpark weiter nach Plettenberg- und Mosselbay, später vorbei an Hermanus bis zum Kogelbay Nature Reserve und dann über den südlichsten Punkt Afrikas zurück nach Kapstadt. Die Städte auf dieser Strecke waren mir persönlich, im Vergleich zu den authentischen Ortschaften der Route 62, zu “high society like”. Von der Natur war ich aber einfach nur überwältigt. Sie ist unglaublich abwechslungsreich, wild und wunderschön. Die Bilder sprechen für sich, also seht selbst!
