I like this feeling. I didn't know I could feel it."

Some days are harder than others, Ilya will admit. He lets out a long breath as their alarm goes off, groaning and dragging his hands down his face. They had to go and set up for camp, which was starting in a week, and all Ilya wanted to was stay in bed and do fuck all.

Anya, who was sleeping at the foot of the bed, stretches and wiggles in between them to signal them to get up and feed her. Ilya huffs out a breath and laughs to himself, petting her between her ears before leaning over and pressing a kiss to the back of Shane's shoulder. If it weren't for Shane, well..Ilya's not sure where he would be right now. Dead in a ditch. Dead in some dingy bathroom in Moscow. He tries not to think about it too much, though, because thinking about dying only makes all of his bad thoughts worse.

"Solnyshko, can't we sleep in?" he asks quietly, wrapping an arm around Shane once Anya bounds off the bed. "Just a little? Another hour? Pleaaase?"

"did you see the referee camera from worlds with barrett?" oliver plows on, knowing very well that shane probably hadn't - he had been competing at the time, would have been really weird to look back on the referee cameras of his own games. "he looked, like," he holds up his hand and pinches his fingers together, "this tall. like a little kid asking his parent for a cuppy of milk."

Ilya takes in a long, slow breath as Shane's voice breaks through the silence. It takes him a few moments to register, and then another few moments for his body to really feel the hangover that's coursing through him. The headache quickly shoots through him, and he winces, blinking a few times as he feels the gentle weight of Shane settling against him.

Shane. Who apparently spent the night. Who has a girlfriend.

Ilya's eyes suddenly pop open, and he stares up at him, trying to find the words that he wants to say. He remembers...some things. He remembers the club. He remembers seeing Rose's friend and then slowly drifting his gaze over to find Shane dancing with her. Their eyes met and...?

And, well, apparently Shane went home with him instead of his girlfriend. Ilya pushes a hand through his hair and laughs, almost feeling like this really shouldn't be happening. Months of wondering where he went wrong, what he might've done to scare Shane off, and now..?

"Why are you here instead of with beautiful Rose Landry?" he says sarcastically, pushing himself up on his elbows. "You know, since you are apparently so interested in women all of a sudden."
