Reading list: August (Capri)

I'm in a Captive Prince phase. I reread the books this month and only read Capri fic. My theme for the month was arranged marriage. It wasn't planned, it just so happened that all my bookmarks pointed there. Keep 'em coming. I love it.

Laurent must marry Damen for the sake of Vere. Damen comes to court him, but Laurent is having none of it.

In Damen's opinion, Laurent needs some coaxing before their consummation before the council.

A very fun arranged-marriage romance featuring gratuitous mention of Damen's thick... thighs.

Damen has only ever fucked two men in his life. Both have worn the golden starburst emblem.

Damen is supposed to marry Auguste but things turn out differently. Damen will never be able to outrun the accusation of having a type.

I'm a firm believer in Don't Like Don't Read, Ship And Let Ship & KINKTOMATO. My recs will eventually upset you if you subscribe to 'anti' thinking. This is your one and only warning: the dove is dead.

Recs you will never/very rarely see from me: pregnancy/mpreg, coffee shop/highschool AUs, time shenanigans (loop, travel, multiverse).

I adore: pining, slow burn, enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, forced proximity, fuck or die, bonds of any kinds, angst, angst with happy ending, UST. I like it messy.

“What?” Laurent says, face impassive. “If you can’t say it, you probably shouldn’t be doing it. And we know you do it a lot. Besides, isn’t that what you came for?”

I accidentally started reading a 400k+ Captive Prince fic. I'm on chapter 7 and need someone to scream with about this fic. This Damen is... idk, I can't decide between a sadly disappointed headshake and trying to wring his obtuse neck. But I'm so invested in his (slow omg sooo painfully slow) emotional growth and his relationship with his not-son Nicaise and his painful not-divorce from Laurent.

I did not plan to spend my Easter weekend reading Lamen fic, but here I am. I cannot stop.
