“Don’t you think you oughta’ be training or somethin’?” It had only been a week since the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, but Goten was still reeling from his loss against his niece, and the sudden departure of his father.  Throwing himself back into the regimen he’d all but completely abandoned during his teens.  Drenched in sweat, he sat himself in one of the Brief family’s several living rooms as his best friend appeared to him. “I mean, Vegeta can’t have been too happy with your performance last week.”

Damn-- he was good. Way, too good for his own good. But he was one hundred percent positive that he had picked up this trait from his mother, and there was no way in hell he was going to just let the boy go, especially with that defeated tone of his. And with a heavy sigh, Vegeta turned and cleared his throat loudly to get his attention.

❝Fine-- we’re going. But on one condition; you will be spending the weekend training under my supervision. Is that understood?❞
