        she's never seen the bird for herself. the girl in            white has only lived in stories told around          the campfire at night, distant whispers in the     wind rustling in the trees. she's heard tik tok speak         of the prisoner, too, but tiger lily has kept quiet.            she won't tell anyone she's been exploring          the grounds close to the lost boys' camp. she's                    CURIOUS about the wendy-bird. 

                                 it looks more like a ghost than a girl; the figure                                      hidden between branches and trees. but                                   tiger lily is certain. no one in her tribe wears                              white, for it will stain too easily. none of pan's boys                                   wear white, for it robs them of their ability to                               blend in with the forrest. only a prisoner is dressed                                             in white, for it will make her visible.
