There's a Chinese guy in my city who plays erhu in the street for coins and now I'm just imagining Baze... Also I imagine Chirrut playing guzheng or guqin bc of the blind musician in Long Sky's scene in Hero

i play flute (western flute, anyway) while my sister plays guzheng so maybe i’m biased, but yes, guzheng/guqin would also be wonderful

imagine the two of them, just sitting on the streets of jedha, playing traditional guardian songs (they MUST have songs), whiling away the time, and keeping the music from completely fading away... (until jedha, too, vanishes, soon followed by baze and chirrut, and their culture is all but gone. but if you know where to look, there are snippets on the holonet, things the empire didn’t manage to hide away completely, still playing on, a final memory of a forgotten people)
