So, this is just an amusing series of thoughts I had that I have to share.
Obi-Wan looks at his Commander, a frown hidden behind his carefully trimmed beard, "Commander. Does it bother you? That some of your brothers remain behind on Coruscant?"
Cody looks startled for a moment, "You mean Fox and his Guard?" He clarifies, and when Obi-Wan nods, he shakes his head, "Fox and our brothers in the Guard are some of the highest trained and most responsible men I've ever met. We're lucky to have them guarding the home front."
Obi-Wan hums thoughtfully, "I see." He says, after he rolls Commander Cody's words around in his mind for a moment, "Then the Order should do something nice for them."
"So...Hypothetically," Thorn says from where he's leaning against a crate that's filled with highly explosive materials, "What happens if Fox don't disarm that bomb?"
Captain Dusk doesn't look up from his datapad, "Well, it blows up, and lots of people die. Google says that you need to disconnect the timer, ori'vod."
Thorn nods, "Right, well obviously. But, like, what happens after?"
"Oh that's easy," Fox says, his voice slightly muffled from the wire clippers in his mouth, "We get accused of Terrorism, and all of our vod'e get decommissioned."
"Ah...right." Thorn says.
"But we'll be dead too, so it won't be our problem." Dusk adds absently, "How that disarming coming, Commander?"
Fox takes a moment to glare at Dusk, "I went to Command School, not Disarm this Bomb in 30 seconds school. Read the instructions. What's next?"
Thorn slides down to a sitting position, "Should we be concerned that we're all so unconcerned about this?" He asks the room at large. And, when his brothers don't answer, he turns to the dead body of the terrorist lying on the ground next to him, "I feel like we should be concerned, don't you, pal? Hm? No? Okay then."
Basically, the Guard is a hot mess, but they pretend real good
