Hero Forge

Seems like Hero Forge doesn't have the Captain America suit ! So this is the best that I could get, the haircut really isn't the best but I guess it can't always nail my character's designs !

I drew this a long while back, somewhere in december 2019, so there are a few messed up details, but anyway ! Merry Christmas to all that celebrate it from the sweetest character I have created !

Young Justice life

Young Justice is a non-canon Champions game set in the future of Z-Heroes, where our characters are young heroes learning how to use their powers. It's inspired from "My Hero Academia" I think, and in this game I play @propaganda-hero.

But our GM gave us a glimpse of what our current characters became in that world (Champions earth 2).

And Captain Glucose is the school principal !

I was delighted when, in the first scenario of Young Justice, the GM said:

"And the principal steps on the stage to give his speech : the very famous Captain Glucose !"

In Young Justice, Captain Glucose is stronger, more charismatic, smarter... He's perfect. Much more buff as well, and his dress shirt is very, very tight. So tight in fact that one of the button broke because of the pressure he was into and knocked out a student. Everyone else just gasped at the impressive built of the man. We, the players, laughed.

A lot of our characters became teachers in the schools, I won't tell you what the sidekick became in that world, but you might be surprised !

Of course, this is a different future from the one in Z-Heroes, who knows, one of them might die... (Maybe it already happened ?)

Hello Friend !

I know I'm quite impressive, but I'm a Hero, not a Villain ! Captain Glucose, nice to meet you ! Oh, sorry, did I hurt you ? My grip is quite strong, I tend to forget about it... Adventures ? Yes, I have a few I could tell, but I believe that someone is already working on that... Rubisco Boy (@captain-glucose-sidekick) told me that I should not spoil the story, so you will need to be patient, although you can already read part of our first mission online... Ah, here is the link to the English version of Z-Heroes ! But if you speak French, there are more pages here. I can still tell you a few things I guess, but don't expect too much stories of me just now.

Why Captain Glucose ?

First, it's important to acknowledge that this character was fully built as a parody of Captain America. To fuel his "super-soldier" energy, I considered that it would be biologically more accurate for him to eat so much. Glucose is a simple sugar molecule (there exist many more complex forms), and when food is being digested, sugars are broken down into glucose before entering the bloodstream. Also, Captain Glucose eats many sweets, he always had a sweet tooth.

On his backstory, Captain Glucose is a big fan of Captain America comics, and when he became a hero, he really wanted his hero name to be a reference to Steve Rogers. There is another backstory element that justifies this name choice, that I cannot spoil here.

Of course, this isn't his birthname, that hasn't really been revealed in the comics, but doesn't have to be kept secret like most informations about this character.
