Wow mansplainer
A moissanite is false diamond. It is nearly flawless and shoots rainbows in certain light. It’s less valuable than a diamond, though some prefer them because they look diamond-like and are WAY cheaper.
Diamond wholesaler: let me see that diamond
Me: oh that’s a moissanite
DW: oh? You did the test?
(He means the flame test, where you hold the stone in the blue part of the flame and it turns yellow)
Me: yes. It turned yellow
DW: you put it in the blue flame and it turned yellow?
Me: yes
DW: oh well then that’s a moissanite
Me: ...I literally just said that
DW: yeah if you put it in the blue flame and it turns yellow it’s a moisssanite.
Me: ... what??? 😑😑😑
