A compilation of this spread out sequence. A lot of stuff happened in between these part.
Incidentally, Magus was in the Mario universe at this the time. I imagine he was rapidly losing 1-ups.

As much as I love Modern bowser
I kinda enjoy Captain SNES fancomic characterization which is bascially his cartoon and comic appearances from the 90 but with a functional brain.
Latest comic reminded me of an old theory. For those who don’t follow ancient sprite comics, this is a sequel to the Captain N tv show (yes, that show) an entity of pure sorrow had went around “mercy killing” various worlds, explaining why they never transitioned to the SNES. However, one world she entered she did not destroy..
Now, someone on the forums put an explanation why: the Mario series has perhaps the most optimistic go-happy villain hero-pair of all time. The mere combined presence of Mario and Bowser may have nullified the attempt to destroy the world using the sorrow in the hearts of its inhabitants
Bowser likely helped save the Mushroom Kingdom without even noticing.
An observation
For all its early missteps due to being a sprite comic started when they were all over the net,Captain Snes has approached the concept of edgy destruction of old lighter media better than DC or Marvel comics.
Partially because its meta as heck about it, and because its the whole point rather than a sick joke or shock value.
On aside note, I love how King Hippo didn’t know about acohol in the old days because of NOA censorship.
Currently reading Captain SNES and came to the part of Alex's far fetched ideas
MY GUY YOU ALREADY PREDICTED THE KING CHARLES PART 20 YEARS LATER
(Keep in mind that it was released back in 2001 and a certain page I was talking about was released on October 16th, 2002)

Captain SNES
How far they came
It amazes me how Captain SNES went from “hey, see your favorite SNES characters acting OOC and being jerks, with lots of pop culture references!” to an amazing love letter to classic games, and an interesting metaphysics about storytelling tropes.
Protoman encountering pointless, non-cutscene permadeath for the first time still evokes feelings In me.
Main character still swears like an edgelord...but it really doesn’t come off as making him cool but it is wonderful seeing him break the more annoying yet still innocent classic villains with it.
Bowser meets Magus
Yeah, he thinks Bowser kidnapped Schala, and doesn’t even know who Peach is.
What started as one of dime a dozen webcomics has turned into something that gives beautiful moments like this
Yay, one of my favorite webcomics has started updating again.
