A bit late but joining everyone else in saying the new Splatoon update is great. I get to return to where it all started for me, back to where I have my crappy little apartment, back to all the shops I visited as a kid, back to home really. I also get see Callie and Marie more which is nice, I know we’re like family and we do see each other but they’re like family. A little weird seeing the cap over the grate though.

Not only that but my weapon is back to its former glory, well almost anyway. Krak-on splat was my go to when not doing agent things so being able to go back into turf war with it is so nice.

Anyways nostalgia for a place I can’t actually visit is strong, and this update made me happy to see it again, even if it isn’t as cool as it used to be in the eyes of the inkling/octoling youth.

I miss my coworkers. I miss my boss who was mostly-chill but yknow kinda shitty and out of date and I miss my coworkers (agents?? I’m still not clear on how we refer to each other now) and I miss the other agents (different category than coworkers you have to trust me). Like. Yeah. The job kind of sucked and messed me up pretty bad at some points. But also. I lived. The people were cool. We helped N3o unionize /goof. It was worth it. Booyah🤟 -Captain 3, Splatoon

Cod going from 'the savior of the city multiple times' to 'you can't get Any kills in the funny turf war game' is just so. Weird. /neg I have a friend who kins me too, which is normally fine I've never felt an issue with doubles, but for some reason this one is just Different. I'm not going to say they aren't 3, because they are, god they've been playing source for way longer than I have ever got to and they're better at it than me and they actually dress the part but. I don't know. It sorta feels like the entire universe is saying that 'you're not enough' and I don't know how to appease it. Cod, if I could go into the ink again, just turn into a squid and swim away from everything, maybe everything would be okay then. I have so many thoughts I can't sort any of them out. I'm not good enough. No, it's not my fault, I am good enough and I am me. If I was me, I'd be better. I'd be better at my source, I'd have been playing my source ever since it first came out.
