Was it still consideredspring cleaning if it was the beginning of August?— Regardless, that was howBrawly had been addressing his herculean task and he would not be changing itup now. Most of the tough stuff had been completed; all that was really leftwas the detailing of his drawers. What a pain. It ended up being the mosttime-consuming of goals if only because he’d become distracted by each andevery memory a find would blast at him.
He was digging through thedrawers beneath his bed now, and there were a LOT of papers to sort through.Who’d have thought that he’d be such a hoarder for paper items?! But, one halfcrumpled piece caught his eye as he tugged it out, eyebrow raising as heflipped it over, searching for writing or print of any kind.
And there it was.Handwriting? What—…some unfurling later revealed that it was an unfinishedletter, kind of. His eyes darted to the top—it was marked with an “Ahri”.
A blast from the past indeed. He cringed, remembering its origins—Brawly wasn’t good with words, not all ofthe time. He’d find that, sometimes, if he wrote down what he wanted to say, itwould come out a lot smoother when the time to speak finally came. He wasn’t anatural borne speaker—he practiced.
And here was something hehadn’t bothered trying to finish.
“—was a mistake. I look atyou and I see potential for a really neat future that you implied you don’twant. And I guess I don’t know you that well, but I’ll be damned if I said Ididn’t want to get to know you better. There’s only so much one night can tellsomeone, but your eyes told so much more–…?”
He flushed at his ownwriting, growling under his breath and re-crumpling the page up. He must have realized how idiotic he’d sounded before trying to finish and execute this talk...
Some thingswere better left unfound. And so! That was enough springcleaning for the year.
