I just spent the past 1/2 hr scrounging the internet to find a place to watch WMAC Masters again.

And that crush on Great Wolf has returned without mercy.

Ten random pieces of crap no one wanted to know, coming right up!

All of my art supplies are in a toolbox that I stole from my father and refurbished.

Through researching my family history, I’ve found out that I’m related to a real pirate.  Yargh, bitches.

I out-hulked the movers that came about a month ago to get us out of the old apartment; apparently hefting a box of books onto a cart when the muscled Russian guy can’t is sexy.  I’m stunningly okay with this.

I frequently forget what day it is (both in regards to the day of the week and the actual date).

The single moment of cool in my life was the afternoon I got to train with Jamie Webster.  I was picked to be his training partner for the session and it is still the most awesome thing that has ever happened to me. (We won’t mention the fact that I still have a crush on the man and blush whenever I get to talk about him.)

And I got to meet Mike Chat too.  Another moment of sheer kickass; especially when he complimented me about my creative form.  Came in second place to one of his XMA kids in a tournament and it turns out my instructor is a friend of a friend and stuff happened.  But  he said I had good flexibility and precision and I swooned.

While still on the martial arts swing, my 2nd degree exam was a clusterfuck and a half.  Oh gods… I tested by myself, 6 months early.  On top of all of the underbelt curriculum, I ended up having to do all 9 of the traditional forms that I was taught—I was told that I would only have to 3-4 of them—and the opponents that I chose for my 2v1 sparring dropped out at the last minute—so I had to match up against my father and a 17 yr old boy who hated my guts—and in the middle of my stretch/balance exercise, one of the guest instructors’ phone started ringing—and I had last another minute and a half with one leg up in the air by my head as that stupid Motorola ringer kept going on and on because he just wouldn’t silence the damn thing.  The entire test lasted nearly 6 hours.  I passed with a seal of excellence and there’s a picture of me afterwards, sprawled out on the floor of my living room, sweatshirt half off and only one shoe on because I was so exhausted and couldn’t be assed to do anything but sleep for the next day and a half.

My niece likes me best.  I feed her poptarts and teach her things (like did you know that foreheads, when pressed, say “ding”?) and cuddle with her.  I’m the only person that she brings her books to so we can sit down and read them together; by “read” I mean that she sits in my lap, with the book in hers, and I try to get the sentences out before she turns the page.  She likes her MiMi best and that pisses my brother off so badly that it makes me almost as happy as my niece does.

Other children are kind of hit or miss.  I don’t like them, for the most part.  Especially babies… They’re just too weird.
