“Did you get beaten up again?” Nancy asked and reached up to the wound. She could smell the blood. It drove her crazy to be able to smell it and not be able to do something. It took everything in her not to bring her fingers to her lips so that she could taste the blood. 

“You need to stop.”

Nancy took a breath. She hated that he was calling her out on this, when he knew how much she struggled to not be in control in things like this. It wasn’t because she wanted to lead. 

No. 

It was because it was the only way she could cope. She didn’t want anyone else getting hurt, so she tried to fix it, tried to stop anyone else getting hurt, or involved. Especially her brother.

Slowly, a tear rolled down her cheek, as she looked up at Steve.

“I know.. I.... I know Steve, I just... I can’t have anyone else’ blood on my hands. I feel responsible for those deaths, even though I’m not. I just do. And I can’t lose anyone else, I can’t lose Mike, and I can’t lose you. So I try to just... fix everything, without having to get everyone else involved.” She sobbed.

Nancy had to stop in her tracks when she heard Steve’s words. Turning to look at him, she was silent for a good few minutes before she found herself smiling. “I’m not in love with anyone else Steve,” she answered honestly, “I’ve only ever been in love with you. I honestly thought though that you wanted nothing more to do with me, it’s why I have been so quiet lately. I thought that... you had moved on.”

Walker looked at the Jock who was trying terribly to flirt with her, despite her constantly telling him to leave her alone.

When Steve stepped in, she looked at him, and a small smile graced her lips. “He really is. Can’t seem to take no for an answer. Either that, or he doesn’t understand the word no.” She told Steve, looking back at the jock. 

“Do you mind if we leave..? Maybe then he’ll get the hint.” She said to Steve.

Audrey wasn’t expecting those words out of Steves mouth. Not that she minded them to be honest. But she smiled, taking a moment to actually find her voice.

“I.. erm.. Yeah, of course.” She smiled at him. 

To be honest, how could she not say yes to Steve Harrington. He was incredibly good looking. 

“When?” She smiled.
