Inventory Time Again!

The Seireitei was host to some interesting sounds today, with visuals to match: A small, black portal had opened up high in the sky. And hardly a second after it appeared, a silhouette blasted out of it like a missile, down towards... somewhere. It was hard to tell.

... Unless you happened to be close to the Kuchiki estate, in which case... Well, there wasn’t any mystery. The poor koi fish weren’t wondering either.

Meanwhile, Kew found himself flailing around at the bottom of a pool, hating his life. What the HECK happened!? This ain’t what he’d imagined his grand escape being like! Sure, not being dead is pretty nice, but-- Oh, thank Chaos, he could feel the edge. No drowning today! He quickly hoisted himself up to ‘shore’, gasping and wheezing.

Soaking wet, but nothing felt broken. Horns were still there. Soon as he could breathe again, he'd be ready to get this show on the road! ... And he'd also be able to smell that menacing, powerful soul close by.

   “Next time you wish to roast chestnuts, Kuckiki-taichou, let me know. I’ve perfected the art over the past century, and you’ll be less likely to burn yourself.” He was slightly amused at the prospect, but then again, living as he did, Byakuya, most likely, never had a need to use any sort of heating appliance…

   “I’d be happy to help you.”
